Happy Thanksgivn! Slow service. 3hr dinner for 12 people. Check your receipts as some some items ordered never arrived but were... still charged. This isnt anything but a dirty disorganized under staffed under trained gong show. After seeing a table leave ithought to read reviews. RRAD THEM! They were mostly 1 star and our table was about to find out why, and the whole restsurant aswell. There isnt anything authentic here, send it packing! Read more

Very terrible customer service, the food is not as good as what we expected. We came early we are the third customer ,but they... serve us the last waiting for more than hour. We almost done eating when the bowl for bulalo came , the halo halo came late weend up take out the bulalo and halo halo . This is our first time and last. Read more

I am all about supporting Filipino businesses however Max's was a huge let down. I have been here three times -- EACH time we... had to wait for someone to notice us just to be seated. Had to wait even longer for someone to take an order and then waitedsome more to get the bill. Halo Halo and Pandan were 5 stars. Sisig and Kare Kare was okay, not worth the price and long wait! First time reviewing a resto and sad to review a famous filipino chain. Worst costumer service Max’s that we’ve ever been. ... Its our first time coming here from 6 hrs drive expecting to have the same service of what we had in other Maxs here in canada.When we just asked our little child to be excluded in buffet as she just had surgery and wont be able to eat hard food, we askedthem if we could just do separate order of soup, staff didnt agree, manager didnt agree, says needs full payment of buffet. Weare a big group with kids, We were not assisted into our seats, we even had to put our seats and table together as we wanted tobe in one table then the staff said we are not allowed to do that as they have a policy of 4 PEOPLE FOR ONE TABLE and we cannotput it together!! I’ve never been into a restaurant who doesnt allow you to seat together in one table especially if you’rea big group WITH KIDS SAYS ITS FOR SPACING SERVICE PURPOSES! We asked her to show the written policy regarding that but she justleft. Nobody tried to assist us. We we just left hungry, our kids were hungry and disappointed at the same time! Don’t knowwhy this management is like this, i wish i read the review section here ahead of time so we didn't experience this kind oftreatment. Dine at your own risk! We went here for a Sunday dinner and we were told that they are doing everything buffet style. This was a change to their usual... menu. We received zero service when we arrived. The waiters did not get the tables' drink order. We had to flag waiters down toget water, cutlery, napkins - and at one point they did not have bowls at the buffet so we had to flag them down for those aswell. Some of our favorite dishes like lechon kawali, fried chicken, and crispy pata were sitting on the buffet table too longwhich made them very dry. These dishes are supposed to be made to order to ensure the crispy texture. We did not have much tochose from for desert. They only had two options: ginataang mais and slices of apple, cantaloupe, oranges in water (which wasvile). Overall we were dissapointed with the quality of food, limited options, and change to buffet style. Considering thebuffet was priced at $24.99, you would be better finding another option. Read more

We went here for my wife's birthday end of June. Food was great, service was terrible. We had to keep reminding the waitress... about our order as if we were always forgotten. It began with our drinks, she remembered the soft drinks but not the waters. Ourorder took quite a bit of time to come so we finished our drinks early: no one ever bothered to ask if we wanted refills (noteven the waters!) We had to ask twice about our desserts and even our take out containers. To top it all off, we just witnessedone of the waiters return an unused?(hopefully!) takeout container from a dirty table to their clean stockpile! I really washoping it was going straight to the garbage but nope. I saw the waiter immediately give it to another customer. If it weren'tfor the tasty food (except for the kare-kare) it would've been 1 star only. Read more

The food was delicious. The staff was friendly. I've been going to Max's since I was a kid. I'm so happy it's finally in... Winnipeg. Hopefully they will bring in Chicharon bulaklak. We tried their crab fried rice and it was really good. I wasworried the crab flavour will be too overpowering but it wasn't. The flavours were balanced well. Among the dishes we tried ourfavourite was the sizzling tofu. It's definitely a must try if you ever decide to visit Max's. The halo halo was delicious. Weforgot how big the serving was! It's big enough to share between two people for sure. Read more
