Disgusting. Go to the 'fish and chips' shop on the second floor of Portage Place.

The pickerel was perfectly cooked. I felt guilty ruining it with tartar sauce, which I slather on out of habit.

For those who are faithful to Lenten observances of no meat on Fridays, Joey's has great Cod or "fish" as it is referred to in... Newfoundland or the province known as "the Rock." Very reasonable priced for family dining. I also love the shrimp menu items. Also have chowder soup entrees for cold days or when you want are fighting a cold. Read more

Ordered the Cod and Chips. The fish was pretty well tasteless and greasy. Not kidding every mouthful was an endurance. Didnt... want to waste good money so I ate most of it. Fries werent much better,,,pretty much the usual frozen fries. One day I was going for lunch and had I decided to give it a try and see how it is. I saw a sign saying cod bites, so I decided... to give it a try. Once I opened the box I was surprised to see that I had payed $6.75 for 6 pieces of cod smaller then the sizeof a single chicken wing.
