Enjoyed my evening at Dave's had to wait 20 mins to get in, but was ok with that since we were a walk in. Came for the brisket,... food was decent, had some chewy fat on brisket, but overall was ok. Had a pretty good meal at this restaurant. Lots of tables but pretty busy on a friday evening, that we almost didn't get a seat... - we ended up on the lounge side of the restaurant. The portions were smaller than I expected - could have more mac 'n cheeseas a side. The fish was good if you like spicy food, but was surprised that it didn't talk about the spice/heat in the batterin the description on the menu. The corn bread was very good. My wife lived in Texas and said it was pretty authentic. Her chilli was not that great and her chicken was okay. My ribblets... were great and we liked the fries. There were some menu items missing like the sausage but we were there on a Tuesday so it'sunderstandable that not everything would be available. Nice sauces, we each had a favorite. This restaurant has ample parking. The parking lot is easy to use even on a busy Friday night. They have a variety of seating... options. It was busy, tables get full on Fridays. Staff was rushed but friendly. The food came quickly and was fresh andhot. The beef brisket was underwhelming. It seemed rather bland. The toast didn't help. The dull cutlery didn't help. The porkwas okay. The flavor of the meat was lost in the sauce. The corn was good. The mac n cheese was awesome, it had a bit of a kickand corn. It was different but it worked. If you expect creamy cheesy comfort mac and cheese this isn't it. Rather smallportion. The fish was very good. It was juicy and cooked just right. However it had a spicy coating which was asurprise. We ordered this evening and thought there would be a long wait because of the bad weather but it was surprisingly fast delivery.... The food was hot and fresh and oh so delicious! Famous Dave?s never lets us down on offering a protein rich meal. Yum! Read more
