Reviews for Aaltos - Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB
Honestly, the service here is impeccable. Always friendly, attentive, helpful. The food is reasonably priced and they get it out... to you quickly. I had the Greek salad and it's good, they finely chop the veggies so they're bite sized and you get a bit ofevery ingredient with each bite (something a LOT of restaurants struggle with!). It was over dressed but that's probably becauseI like little to no dressing, I would just ask for side dressing or none if you don't like oil. I forgot about who served me, alovely woman who works the weekday lunch shift, she is always the best. ***It's weird that it recognizes them as Aaltos becauseit's been Garbonzo's for a long time. I ordered Eggs Benedict. For the price it's not worth it. The food came cold. The ham was rubbery, the sauce was sour that I... can't even eat the entire thing and the English muffins was soggy. I was expecting more since the picture looks good, it didn'tcame as what it looks like from the picture. I don't recommend to anyone. Other restaurants were way better. Read more

Long wait for food, when it came there was a lot of hair in the eggs. Brought it to the waitresses attention but we couldn't... wait for the order to be remade. Read more
the restaurant was really nice and the staff were super friendly, I tried the buffet food and I thought it was okay, about 45... minutes later I had to retreat to the nearest bathroom. My stomach got so upset! I truly regret trying that buffet food. Notsure if I'll come back here but if I do I'll have to try something off the regular menu and hope it doesn't make me sick aswell. I visited Aalto?s for lunch on a couple of occasions while at the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) for business. It was actually a... really good experience. It was pretty packed on both locations with patient populations presumably staying at the Canada Innsawaiting various medical services. On both occasions, I stuck with the soup/salad/dessert buffet. The salad bar was prettytypical, but quite good. I was most impressed by the soups which all were made in-house and were super delicious. The soups Iate were chicken noodle, pea and ham, and lentil. They also had pretty decent dessert options too including a sundae bar, littleglass vials of chocolate mousse and whipped cream, rice crispy squares, etc. I raided the sundae toppings bar for a handful ofsmarties for dessert and I was good to go. Servers were pretty friendly and helpful although I didn?t interact with them muchbecause I had ordered the buffet. Read more
I came for beacon and eggs. Got talked into the buffet. Blech. Never again. No one was serving the buffet, and you also... couldn't help yourself. Waited an unacceptable amount of time for someone to waddle out from the kitchen with a pissed off lookon her face. Looked like I was bothering a hibernating bear. Everything was cold (cold scrambled eggs and bacon is gross). The pancakes and hash browns were ok (but cold). Serving staff were good, no fault of theirs. Based on the food, I won'tlikely be coming back here again unless in really hungry with no options. Read more
Did not enjoy fast food style breakfast. Same thing you would get at A&W Thought Altos had more class then that. Never would l... order breakfast again from there. 2 pieces of reddi crisp bacon and instant potatoe cubes deep fried. Horrible experience. Read more
