Probably Canada's favorite fast food stop that is "not" a coffee shop. Good food quantities with lots of flavor and of course... there is the root beer. But make sure you drink it from the mug. Read more

Terrible service. Came through the drivethru and placed order at 8:22pm Monday, August 22, 2022. My order was 5 buddies burgers... with cheese and an order of onion rings. Not a big deal. I was told at the drivethru window to wait out front. Great no problem,my order will be freshly made I figure. After about 8 minutes of waiting 2 more cars pulled up and are waiting as well. Anothercar pulls up and a guy gets out. Walks in AW and comes out within minutes with his order. At 8:36 a tall slim employee with ahead set on comes out but heads to the last car that arrived. This is fine seeing as it was closest to the door. I could overhear the order was wrong and the carwas told to go through the drivethru again. Finally he comes to my vehicle at 8:38. I saidthe wait was kinda long in a very polite manner. He replys by throwing his head back, laughing and says "yaya". Shame on youAW!! Read more

Not good at all. Whistle dog was not the same. No salt on the onion rings and root beer was watered down. So disappointed.

Just ordered fries and it took 10-12 minutes. Huge backup of cars behind me. Staff were goofing around as we sat at the window.... We go through this window often and it?s always slow and terrible. Not exactly fast food. Did not offer ketchup, vinegar or anapology? Read more

Went thru the drive thru half an hour ago. (Mon Feb 18 13:50). We ordered a double teen combo with onion rings, Beyond meat... burger combo with cheese and onion rings and a baby cheese no seasoning with fries. Staff were fast and friendly. However...Drive away and get to our meal. The onion rings were old and not hot, fries were hot and good... The beyond burger I wassurprised to find 2 strips of bacon on it, they serve veggie bacon now? Hmm.... No I dont think so. Appears the double teen wasmissing its bacon. Good thing I'm not allergic to meat and was just trying the beyond burger out or else my lunch would havebeen seriously ruined. Go to Give the picky toddler her cheeseburger... No cheese. Bummer. Service with a smile, to bad thecook was off their game this afternoon. $36 meal, you'd expect it to be Hot, fresh and made correctly. Read more

It is always a struggle to rate fast food. I try to avoid them as much as possible, I'm already overweight and really should... not be eating hamburgers. But my wife and I were interested by the new A&W veggie burger. Since we had a coupon and we'regoing out anyway we decided to try a little scientific comparison. We got 1 each of a mama burger, a veggie burger, fries andonion rings. We both had Root Beer to drink. Despite their irritating ads, I still think they have the best Root beer and theteen burger is still the best generic style burger you can get. But we wanted to compare apples to apples, so we figured theMama burger was the closest in size, condiments and general content. We split every thing and compared the two burgers fortaste, mouth feel, consistency, looks and general effect. I must say that I am pleasantly impressed. The burger lives up toits hype. It was different in the side by side with a meat patty but not "oh it's a veggie", just slightly different. Pleasantflavour, good texture, and all in all a really nice burger. It went well with either fries or onion rings (well, of course Iguess) and I would cheerfully chow down on another one if it were a bit cheaper. I also have not checked the fat, sodium, transetc content which will have an effect on how often I would even consider eating them, but a really nice treat that you can takeyour non-meat eating friends to Read more
