I dropped in at the Yellow Rose Meat Market awhile back passing through Winnie, Tx. I had seen their commercials on TV and have... been looking for a good place to buy quality steaks and other cuts. When I walked in I was expecting display cases with all cutslike my former market had. There wasn\'t much of a display case there and what was there wasn\'t a whole lot to choose from. Iwas looking to buy several ribeyes, some T-bones, or Porterhouse\'s and some other things. They advertise Hoghead cheese thatthey make there also and I was wanting to try that too. I found the display case only had at the time one really decent lookingRibeye and not a lot else. They had lockers all around the entrance area with labels to find something you might be looking for.They advertise having beef, pork, chicken, rabbit, and Alligator. They might have but I wasn\'t going to search for it!! Therewas a lady waiting on a customer at the register and I guess they were catching up as the whole time I was there they weretalking and didn\'t acknowledge me or ask if she could help me with something. There were two other lady\'s there that lookedlike they were busy and were working on other stuff. One of them finally broke loose long enough to ask if I needed help! Yes Idid!!! She was very nice and helpful thank goodness! By this time I was about ready to leave. So I told her I would take thebest looking Ribeye in the display case and asked her about the Hoghead cheese and she pointed me to one of the lockers by thefront door. I picked out a couple of pounds of the Hoghead cheese and went to the checkout counter. I paid for what I had gotand left. I don\'t know if that was an off day or what, but if your at the register you could at least welcome someone in andeither ask them for help or tell them you\'ll be right with them. This place reminds me of being with family! I am always greeted by name as soon as I walk in. The service all around is... amazing!!! The meat quality is off the charts you can truly taste the difference. I am so blessed to find a place that supportsour community and cares. Everything is delicious and always cut fresh!!! The price is absolutely unbeatable compared to mostplaces in the area. I can honestly say I recommend this place to everyone I know. The yellow rose is most definitely the mostamazing meat market around. Best Meats and service around.
