Everything was OK, but the service wasn't the best. The waitress would go give other customers coffee ?? and walk right past... our table with the coffee post in her hand , and not even offer a fill. Always good. I ordered fried chicken livers last time I was there. They were way over done. Extremely hard, and clumped... together. The lady at the counter told me "that's what everybody says." If that's so ya'll need to address that. I've beenthere several times, and will continue to eat there whenever I pass that way. Read more

It was terrible the salads only had lettuce and tomatoes in them our food was cold. They had a new guy who was supposed to be... working in the kitchen who was more worried about being up front to talk to customers than cooking the food I paid a little over$30 for me and my sister to eat cold hamber stakes cold rice and gravy and cold mashed potatoes. The little girl who was bustingtables and the waitress was trying to take care of customers the best they could. I would not recommend Embers until the get anew cook. Read more
I had some items to bring to my granddaughter, so this was a half-way point for both of us to meet for Sunday lunch. We stopped... at Embers since it was pretty much the only sit-down restaurant opened on Sundays. I ordered the catfish filet with green salad,baked potato and hush puppies. They were out of baked potato so I substituted onion rings which were cold and half burned; Ireceived no hush puppies. My granddaughter had red beans and rice with sausage and a catfish filet on the side. Her beans werecold with no taste. The only plus is that the catfish was hot and delicious. Biscuit and sausage gravy, bacon, toast, hash browns. Typical breakfast and it was good. Lots of sausage gravy which isn?t... typical nowadays but much appreciated! Staff was friendly and service was quick. Will certainly be back! :) Read more
Just good old comfort food. Friendly staff and customers. Good place to take a break from hunting to warm up and recharge before... heading back out to the forest. :) Had the hamburger steak, onions, baked potatoe, side salad, toast and gravy for $11.99.Pictures look small but portions are huge!
