The ice cream is awesome, so many great flavors. The staff are always very patient even when the line is out the door.
The ice cream was mediocre at best. Half of my ice cream seemed very crystallized like it had freezer burn. The employee who... helped us rolled his eyes and acted like he didn?t even want to be there while serving us because we asked for an extra cone. Amazing ice cream. One of the best ice cream shops I have ever visited in the USA. The shop has a rich history, and, I must say... that, the shop's location allows you to enjoy the rich creaminess of the ice cream while on a promenade with your loved one onthe main road of Winnetka. If you do this during those beautiful evenings in July, you will feel the wind from Lake Michigancaress your cheeks, and you will feel the heavenly touch of angels as you bring down salted caramel and dark chocolate brownieinto your tummy. It was pretty good ice cream. It sounded more intriguing in the description of malted milk ice cream with pretzels and brownies,... but it was just okay. Nothing to complain about, but it just wasn?t crazy good. Read more
I ordered the new pralines and cream flavor and my boyfriend tried the black raspberry chip. They were both super yummy! The... pralines and cream tastes similar to butter pecan ice cream but with a lighter flavor. I love how the nuts added a nice textureand crunch to the ice cream. The black raspberry chip tasted amazing, too. It had dark chocolate shavings that paired well withthe creamy and tart flavor of the black raspberry. They were both so delicious and flavorful. WOW! the ice cream here is so DELICIOUS! I had a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip ice cream on a cone. It tasted really good. It... was creamy and tasted like real peanut butter. I loved the chunks of chocolate chip in the ice-cream, they were larger than theregular chocolate chip you find in other places. My wife got a Black Cherry ice-cream on a cone as well. It was savory and hadchunks of cherry. Also had a creamy texture and delicious flavor. I didn't like that they put the cone on a cup. I don't knowif that is the style they have for cone but I would've prefer just the cone. We were visiting the Chicago area and lookingplaces were the Home Alone movie was filmed and we got here. I can't believe this used to be a Pharmacy were they filmed a sceneon the 1st movie. *This was our first time here, not the most friendly staff. They didn't greet us. I would've expected atleast a "hello". We were the only customers in that moment. I give 5 stars because they weren't rude and the ice-cream was sogood. Read more
