I love Swiss Chalet. We stopped for dinner Oct. 09 and we were so disappointed. The meal was terrible. It was like everything... except the rolls had been sitting all day. None of could finished our meal. I was surprised when the waitress didn't ask ushow our dinner was. I can't believe we did not say anything we were just so disgusted we walked out. We spent $75.00 . Online says open till 10. Showed up and the doors were locked. And the lady working came to the door and told us they close at... 9. It was 8:30 pm... It also says on their door that they are open till 10. There were 3 other groups trying to come in and dinebehind us too. Read more
Stopped today to get a Take Out at Swiss Chalet on Manning Rd. . Ordered a Chicken Wing Dinner with Fries, Coleslaw and a... Chicken Wrap Dinner with a side Salad. The young man behind the counter taking the orders very friendly and pleasant. He askedme if I wanted utensils and napkins and I said yes. Everything went well till I got to my vehicle to eat and seen that therewere no napkins or utensils. Was disappointed that they omitted those items as how do you eat your Salad or Coleslaw without afork and clean your fingers after you eat. For that reason I gave them only 3 Stars but the food and service were good exceptfor that mistake and I would of given them 4 Stars. I would suggest that they alway give utensils and napkins with Take Out. Ireally didn't want to Edit my review but it is the only way I can respond to the Swiss Chalet Owners response. Thank you foroffering me to get in contact with you but it is not necessary for you to offer me anything to make it up. I was happy ingeneral and just wanted to let you know what happened so it doesn't happen again. Maybe make a point of always giving oututensils and napkins with take out. Without fail, they manage to screw up out order 50 percent of the time. If we didn't like the hot chicken sandwich meal do much,... we'd never go back. Half the time they put the dipping sauce in instead of gravy. They fail to put either 1 veggie or 1 frenchfries. We've now learned to check out meal in parking lot before leaving and most of the time have to go in to correct it. Read more
