I went here with a friend for the first time last night and I have to say it was quite busy, but me and my friend talked so much... we didn't even notice time going by. I had the "farfalle" it was soooo good. I also had the house wine as she said it was thesweetest wine they had. It was okay. My friend ordered a chocolate martini and shared with me my goodness that was good. We alsohad a drink with some whisky in it. It was very overpowering and needed a glass of water at all times. Another awesome evening @ Capones - I had the special which was pasta with generous chunks of beef tenderloin - the sauce was so... delicious. John had the beef tenderloin (blue) - not a crumb left on his plate. Blueberry cheesecake and Grand Marnier were theperfect end of a perfect dinner. My girlfriend and I have been waiting a long time to try out this restaurant. Always hearing such good things, everything lived... up to the hype. We had the Chateaubriand and the carbonara with chicken, quality in taste and portion sizes were 10/10.Everything on the menu was greatly priced as well and can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu. Service was good and very friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was very suitable and we were excited for our meal. The house... red was very good. However I'm currently sitting on my toilet for the fifth time paying for a mussel I ate that made my mouthgo numb and tasted like the Colosanti's petting zoo. I didn't eat anymore after that but it was too late. The rest of themussels that I am had (maybe three or four) leading up to that one were not fresh but alas I was in no mood to complain so wejust put them aside (not knowing they would come back to haunt us). The veal was barely passable unfortunately and my partner'ssalmon was a bit overdone. I tried my partner's gnocchi and it was great. Not quite sure how this place is highly rated, but ifI had too guess I would say maybe they are pasta orders as all the pasta dishes I saw looked great and the spaghetti side Iordered was good as well. As I reach for the toilet roll I can leave you with only my experience that I expect is an anomalybased on the many good reviews. I am very comfortable recommending the pasta dishes and the house red. It felt like there wasmore to be offered there and we might be willing to give it a shot and just get pasta as our mains as we enjoyed the service andthe staff seemed great. There is a lot going for it so I hope it was just a rough day in the kitchen and I hope that if thereis a next time that I can give it a higher rating. Don't order the mussels... Seriously, don't.
