Stopped in for lunch while driving through on a road trip. The place itself has a very interesting history and backstory. The... food was okay, we had BBQ burgers and fries. It was nice to stop in the middle of a long drive, but I would not go out of myway to eat here. Read more

I?m not understanding any of the positive reviews of this place - either customers have really low standards, or they business... has recently had a very unfortunate decline in service? We went in with a work group on a Thursday, everyone arriving atstaggered times in pairs or threes, and the place was empty aside from us (maybe 15 total?). There were two women working thebar and seating area, one male ?cook? (although I?m not sure anything is made fresh, from the menu and the dishes I saw come outit appears everything can be reheated from frozen then covered in or coupled with a sauce), and one preteen boy (??!!) sittingon the long side of the bar; there was also one adult male in a polo walking around for a bit, but he acted as if he was offwork. We were the only two people at the bar (aside from the kid), on the short side closer to the seating area, and everyoneelse already had a drink. Somehow it took us 25 minutes to receive bottled drinks, and we had to actively recruit the womanbehind the bar to do something other than talk to the kid or wander around somewhat aimlessly. God forbid you ask about happyhour, which is clearly written on their chalkboard as 4-6, but when we asked the woman behind the bar, she defaulted to theother server, who texted someone (??) to inquire, and that person responded 7-9 pm, but maybe just for food, or does thatinclude drinks too? The world may never know, we certainly didn?t, as there was zero clarification (or any sense of urgency tooffer it). My husband ordered some overpriced (full price, not happy hour) wings, and I ended up only having one drink after hehad to chase down the ?bartender? (term used loosely) for a second. If this were the only bar in town, I?d say buy packagedliquor and take it back to your house/hotel - this place is more of a frustration than a desirable destination. One star forthe cool reuse of a historic building, and one star for the ladies working, because despite their complete and Read more

The service is great. We had a group of 14 The one server and one cook (that I could see) ran the place smoothly. Drinks and... food came promptly. Sweet Potato Moonshine was so good we took a bottle home. Bourbon slushy gets a thumbs up. Read more

Main waitress was great. The other was training, she was nice. Beef was super fresh and tender, but could have used a little... spice - salt and pepper at least. Perhaps a little more sauce on the burgers because they were a little dry. I'd try again, think it has an opportunity to be great, we just might have visited during an off day. Read more

Had one of their burgers. I suggest a burger because they raise their own beef!!! Food and staff are on point. Haven't sat... outside, but it's been cold. I can hear the music from my house. Very chill atmosphere. I have also had both the 6 and 4 yearwhiskey. Definitely a fiery and/or some heads in the blend. Definitely for the more experienced pallet, as it may set a newby onfire. Nice flavor once the flames ware off. Definitely a place for the wife and myself. Only thing I don't like is that theyclose so dang early. When you have a bunch of kids, mom and dad may get out the door late. Read more

The staff is AWESOME! Great location in a wonderful old building. Everyone makes you feel like you're at home. The food could... use a little help, I had a burger, the quality of meat was good (local farm to table) but could have used a little seasoning, Iordered it with the bacon jam, and there was very little on it. Another person in our group had the shrimp and grits, they werea bit dry. Hopefully it was a rare, one off night. Now, on to the cocktails, they were great, well balanced. They make their ownBourbon and moonshine which are killer too. If you're in the area I highly recommend you check them out, I know I'm lookingforward to going back. Read more

Very friendly staff and delicious food! I enjoyed the moonshine creamsicle to drink, had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer... and ate the burger with bacon jam and a side of sweet potato fries as the main course. Sitting outside on the patio was nice andI was able to bring my dog. They were even nice enough to give him a fresh bowl of water. I snagged a pint of their 16 seasonbourbon on my way out as I?ve tried it before and it?s delicious. I?ll definitely be back the next time I?m in town, thanks forthe hospitality! Read more

One word can sum up a review for this place. Wow. Just wow. What you see here in the food pic is probably the best burger I've... ever had, their potato wedges, dill mustard coleslaw, and last, but certainly not least, Dreamsicle Moonshine made of locallygrown sweet potatos, french vanilla creamer, and orange juice. Here are some other words to finish up this review. Amazing.Legit. Fire. ???? ???? ???? Read more
