We visited Candela for my birthday and what an amazing time. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, perfect for dates. The food was... amazing. We had the octopus which was the special of the day and lord was it it good. The garbanzos sauce it was on isfantastic. We got 2 other tapas and they were just as good. We got to meet the chef/owner, Armando and he checked on us to seeif we liked the food and gave us little details about the food. After this we got to spend time with Armando and talked for awhile. Pleasantly surprised with this place. At first we didn’t know what to expect but everything was incredible. We had garbanzos... with chorizo which was great, the grilled octopus was sensational and the lamb shack left me surprised and wanting more. A wonderful experience! The food & drinks were delicious, paellas are wonderful, and I also highly recommend lamb shank -... authentic Spanish-style. Nice size restaurant with several Cuban and Spanish dishes. I had Caldereta de mariscos, a type of seafood stew. The food was... delicious and represents the actual flavors of the dishes back in Spain. Pricing is a bit high, but due to the complexity of thedishes is well priced. My only complaint is that a table next to us had empty dishes with no one sitting at the table for over30 mins. Service was good and knowledgeable. If back in the area, I would come back. Read more

Stopped by just for wine with friends on a Thurs. night and knew we needed to return Friday night for dinner. It truly was one... of the BEST meals ever! We shared a cheese sampler and 3 tapas plates...Refried garbanzo beans and chorizo, garlic shrimp, andstuffed peppers. All exceptional! Quaint atmosphere with nice wine selection and house made sangrias. Yves, our waiter wasfriendly and accommodating.
