Saw the great reviews and dove right in. Reality didn't meet expectations. According to the menu, their Chicago deep dish has... "layers" of "pepperoni, sausage, green bell peppers, onions, and sausage." On our pizza, we couldn't find a single pepperoni. If we saw a piece of sausage, we counted ourselves lucky. Looking for mushrooms was sort of like spotting a moose. Green bellsand onions were moderate... at best. For $38, I was expecting a LOT more toppings. Sauce was quality and abundant. Cheese wasgood. Really simple but tasty pizza that travels and reheats well! Highly recommend if you are looking for takeout for kids as it... tastes great right out of the box, after a 30 min car ride home, and then still after sitting on the counter or in the fridgefor a bit. Highly recommend trying Wilsons Pizza. The Chicago Special deep dish pizza and Italian salad exceeded expectations. The... restaurant is housed in a cozy, 5 table cabin and offers outdoor seating during the summer months. The entire staff was veryfriendly and personable. We can?t wait to come back. Read more
Their deep dish pizzas are super good, but their regular pizzas are nothing special. We ordered both kinds for a party and there... was a lot of regular pizza leftover, but the deep dish pizzas disappeared within minutes. We had their deep dish pizzas twice inone week because they were that good. The wait for the deep dish is long which they warn you about (an hour) though one time weordered it they told us an hour but in reality it took them over an hour and a half, so I was sitting in the car waiting in thecold after a long day at work. Next time let customers know if it's gonna take longer than an hour. Shame they didn't open yearsago, we would've been regular customers for their deep dish alone, but we moved away this year.
