Food and service was terrific! We were there 8/10/2022. 6 of us and they were very accommodating. The dishes we chose were... customizable (waitress told us all dishes were) and came out all correct. Pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, edamames, chickensatay, all fantastic!!! Will definitely visit there again!!! Read more
My wife and I have had Thai one other time at another place in Wilmington. We didn't care for it so we decided to give Umaii a... go after my buddy recommended it. It was certainly better than. The other place and we will be back. Drinks. I got an oldfashioned which as you all know is my go to at a restaurant with a bar. I have to say...I was disappointed. A part of me isstill trying to figure it out. Maybe its the ice? Perhaps it was just too watered down? Maybe it was the use of maraschinocherries. It was a nice twist on the orange peel but they didn't rim the glass with it? Maybe it was the whisky but it wasmakers which is a decent whisky. I dont know. The sweet tea though...perfect! We got a simple crab roll and it was good. Weusually skip the seaweed but didn't and it was still good to go. My wife got the Pad See Ew with chicken. The broccoli wasnicely cooked and the food had a good flavor. I got the Drunken Noodle with chicken and it had excellent flavor. The sauce wascreamy. Both dishes had one thing in common and we were both thrown back. The noodles. They were more like an overcooked pastry.I asked the lady sitting beside us and she agreed. She said they are usually much better here so all I can do is take her at herwork. They were kinda like chicken and pastries. The service was wonderful and the staff super friendly. Dining area is nice, didn?t sit at the bar but it looked inviting with the food network on TV, so prob check that out next time.... Our server was clearly busy but took great care of us. Wasn?t a fan of the ginger dressing on the salad and the sushi was goodbut I?ve had better. Read more
Superb service. In the dictionary under ?excellent service ? needs to put Max?s name. We are vegans and he kindly asked the... kitchen if they can accommodate our diet. After that he complemented the choice and made sure that we had everything. Dearmanagement, if you are reading this, kindly asking to give him a shout out and a raise. If every person could be such a goodfit! Super attentive, polite and professional. Food is delicious, quick to be served. Spicy yakisoba is zesty andflavourful. Food and the service was good, the soups were amazing. The pad thai was very sweet, but other dishes tasted great. Not many good... asian restaurants in Wilmington, so this place was refreshing. Read more
I got the massaman curry and a spicy sushi roll. They were fantastic, the massaman was delicious with just a little spice but... the spicy sushi did it man. I got the food for pick up and I had an old fashioned while I waited and it was delicious. I wasimpressed by how clean the restaurant was, and how attentive and friendly the staff was.
