Reviews for The Green House Restaurant in Wilmington, NC

Let me first start by saying that the interior of the restaurant was very clean and inviting. It looked like a wonderful place... to meet friends for drinks and enjoy time together. I was excited to try this restaurant after seeing many reviews both onlineand TV. The price is a bit more than I would like to spend for meal (entree at $28), but was intrigued by the culinaryselections offered with locally grown fresh ingredients. I was recently prompted by Google to write a review after enjoying mymeal, and decided to give my "average Joe" opinion...so here we go. The vegan white bean and walnut sausage was absolutelydivine! The sausage was spicy and full of flavor. The mushroom and green bean risotto style rice was a delicious creamyaccompanyment to the sausage. All of the ingredients were so fresh and attended to with care, each bite was better than thenext. Who knew vegan food could taste so good! Each bit was better than the last. That dish alone has me wanting to return. Theeggplant dish was delicious and flavor, but the texture of the eggplant was a bit soft and overcooked for my liking. Afterlooking at the pictures other patrons posted online, I have to say I was a little disappointed. The four dinner rolls and veganbutter that I received for $11 was missing the figs and other accompaniments that I'm sure would have made it spectacular andworth the $11 price tag. The total for this take out dinner was about $70 with tax and tip. I expected more of a presentationfor the price tag, but maybe that's just me. You should definitely give that white bean and walnut sausage dish a try foryourself when you visit. It definitely does not disappoint! Read more

Beautiful, sophisticated, white dining room. Friendly and helpful servers. The dishes were interesting, tasty, and filling. We... had 2 of the specialty cocktails. All 3 starters on the menu, for entrees pasta, eggplant and grits. Highly recommend when youare in Wilmington or Wrightsville Beach. Read more

High-end restaurant serving a fully vegan menu with unique food options and an extensive cocktails menu. Our brunch experience... was excellent! The BLT with mushroom bacon was fantastic and the Heirloom Johnny Cakes were very tasty. Highly recommend the IceCream Sandwich, too! Read more

My grandma and I visited for Easter brunch. She was unsure about trying vegan brunch but we both absolutely loved it. She had... the seasonal crepes, I had the parfait and we split the sharable toast plate. I couldn't believe the breads were all vegan andgluten free, they were delicious and had great texture. All the food was fresh and the fruit I had was ripe and delicious. Ihope to visit again for another meal! Read more

I think this is my favorite restaurant experience EVER! They have so many interesting vegan dishes, and they’re all so full of... flavor. This is art! Special thanks for zero-proof cocktails. The one I had was SO good and made me feel incredible for a longtime. I’m so in love and even though I love 2 hours away, I WILL be coming back… Went there for lunch, and happened to beone of only 3 parties in the whole place. It was so peaceful and nice, just added a lot to the experience. Read more

Amazing to have an entire menu vegan and gluten free! Although it made choosing really hard. We ate on the patio with heaters... for dinner and spent about two hours sampling as much as we could. We also were offered to order off the tapas menu from lunchwhich was a nice bonus. I got the butternut minestrone which was described as having a squash base but was actually just a fewchunks of butternut among some other veg. It was the only dish I could easily have made at home and wasn’t as thrilledwith. The charcuterie board was yummy and a great item to share and whet our appetites. I had the gnocchi for an entree andwasn’t in love with it (a bit oily for me) so I swapped with my dad and ate his autumn harvest which I enjoyed. Wonderfulservice, and a really special experience. I probably shouldn’t have gone running beforehand because I wasn’t full after(this is a place for presentation not volume.) Much appreciation for a great night out! Read more
