Food outperforms the menu! Started with the shrimp appetizer and was blown away. They were colossal and cooked to perfection. We... had the fried flounder and sweet potatoes, excellent. Shrimp and grits better than Grandma?s, and she?s in Charleston. Even thehamburger was excellent. But the biggest surprise was the coconut cake, moist, perfect icing not too sweet, and served at justthe right temperature. The menu does not compare with the taste of the food. This is our new go-to restaurant! Also, the nicestbartender that makes a Margarita better than any I?ve ever had. Again, not syrupy with just the perfect amount of tang. Lovely decor, tasty food with large portion, great service, and honest tip recommendation My family had a day trip to the beach... and we accidentally found this great place. So happy after eating there. Decor has the theme of mermaid and macaw, and theyeven have a live large macaw in cage inside the restaurant. It squeaks and bites, so be careful. But it?s pretty. Food wasgreat, portion was large, the waitress was very attentive. If they could know more about the names of the fish and corals asdisplayed in the 300-gallon aquarium it will be awesome. Surprisingly, when the bill arrived, I noticed that the recommendedtip was based on the actual food price, not including the tax. This is so honest and rare in today?s restaurants. This place is amazing. A must try! Soo unique. Coconut shrimp were point on! Lobster bisque delicious. Lobster tails.... Pineapple frozen drink concoction took me to the tropics. Ty for a great experience. Read more
Super friendly staff! I sat next to the salt water aquarium to admire their beautiful corals and fish and the waitress showed me... their mascot ???? ???? My pineapple shrimp fried rice came IN a pineapple, which was a nice touch to a delicious dish!Definitely give this place a visit! Read more
Stopped for lunch on our way to Carolina Beach. They were very busy, but honest that they were behind. Oddly we never felt that.... Some of the very best service we've ever had. Multiple visits to the table, appetizer came out quickly and was delicious. Fooddidn't take near as long as they said it would but we were visited many times by staff to make sure we were happy and we'lltaken care of. Food itself was delicious!!! We highly recommend! First time 5/6/2022. We shared the steam pot with crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, andoulie sausage, potatoes and corn on the... cob. The mussels were some of the best we have had ; clean, not sandy and tasty. The sausage was a tad hot for my spouse butdidn't overwhelm the whole lot. Crab and shrimp were great. The Felix Cafe is a hidden gem! We went there to listen to jazz and get a bite to eat. The inside opens to a new world of... creativity. You will have to walk around to enjoy all to see. Oh...back to the food and music. The Bacon-Gouda-Mushroom soupand the Coconut Shrimp were DELICIOUS!!! The presentation was just as delightful as the food. First time visit and it was great. Fast seating and service. Food was very good. Crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer was so tasty!... My girlfriend and I had the 1 choice seafood basket. Flounder and shrimp,respectively. Very well seasoned and great proportions.Definitely going back to try some other dishes. Read more
