Went here for a company party and Steam exceeded every expectation! They had our room ready and set perfectly. The server was... amazing and very knowledgeable about the specials and fresh catch. We got a little bit of everything and it was all outstanding.The Brussels sprouts were some of the best I have ever had!! The fried oysters were additive and left you wanting more and more.This restaurant made the party a huge success as everyone left happy and stuffed. I will be back! Read more
We enjoyed a Anniversary dinner (6p) on a weekday, so the booked hotel restaurant was literally empty. Steam is a beautiful... riverfront restaurant, we received excellent service & the ambience is upscale. The food presentation was excellent and tastewas just ok, nothing spectacular. (Roasted Salmon & Shrimp & Grits orders). We really enjoyed the Cheese plate selections. Itgets 3 stars because my wife got sick from what she thinks the Clam chowder wasn't the freshest. Overall a nice diningexperience, the food taste leaves room for improvement in comparable to the cost. Being bumped by the ES hotel for a specialnight didn't make it a great night experience, but that's another review. Read more
So it took me a few weeks to decide if I wanted to write this review because I've been on two other occasions and had a... wonderful experience. We had a birthday dinner on the 22nd of June for one of my friends, our party consisted of over 30 people.This was a planned event that the restaurant was aware of. Ultimately I feel people should be aware if your party consists ofmore than 10 people this isn't the right place for you as they only assigned one server and provided no assistance until he wasbeyond weeded. Drinks took forever not because the bar did not make them but because management failed to have someone take themout while he was taking orders. My steak which I ordered rare came out medium and you could tell it was cooked in the windowunder a heat lamp. I don't believe this place is able to handle large groups or parties. Every small event of 10 or less I mustsay was wonderful though. Although after spending close to $200 on only my meal and drinks for this event and feeling managementdidn't care enough to step in and assist I'm not sure I will be returning. Read more

Service was great (especially the manager). Sunset was beautiful. Food was very good although the mashed potatoes in one dish... and the grits in another dish were stone cold. We told a server and all he said was "I'll tell the kitchen ". No offer to heatthe dish. (But it still tasted great : ) Read more

I really enjoy that this restaurant welcomes those whom aren't hotel guests so tourists and locals can try this amazing place... too. This restaurant is located inside Embassy Suites and it overlooks the river. We were lucky enough to get a seat by thewater to watch the sunset. The portions sizes and prices are great for the quality of food. I really like the homemade rolls youget along with your starter. The triple tail fish was the dinner special and we loved the sweet fish paired with sweet corn anda creamy sauce. The service by Jessica was great. She was super friendly and made sure we knew what was happening with ourdinner. I liked that the GM was involved with her restaurant and she made sure to stop by and see how we were doing. Simply delicious and amazing service. Our server Kaitlyn was awesome! The only thing I would like to see is more... vegetarian/pescatarian options. Too many dishes could have filled that bill but had ingredients such as pork belly. The castiron diver scallops or the braised short rib are amazing. Read more
