So amazing! Excellent hospitality, well appointed decor (and well spaced for peace of mind), thoughtfully prepared food, and... excellent wine pairings. We had the Garlic and herb bread, Red Drum sandwich, and the Harissa chicken with black eyed peas. Thisvenue is a well cultured home run and delightful addition to South Wilmington. I saw this place popping on Facebook and finally I had the chance to visit it. Great ambiance with amazing selection of wine. I... ordered a glass of Malbec and it was really delicious (Authentic smell and color). I ordered also chicken pastry and grouper andboth plates hit the spot. My BF and I tried this lovely new restaurant in town. It did not disappoint! Since we are not avid drinkers, we didn?t know what... to chose. So we decided to try a couple, eight to be exact. They were all tasty in different ways. Then we moved to the food. Iliked everything that was served, the curry, biscuit and gravy, potatoes, the Cubano. Sunday Brunch was Fantastic! Soif de Vin has ventured into serving Brunch now, and what a smart idea! Our meal was just perfect.... My wife got the lemon pancakes with ricotta and cardamom cream. The pancakes were literally like a light, fluffy lemonpoundcake, and the cream on top was so flavorful, with fresh chopped strawberries to add a nice little bit of brightness. I hadthe Chicken curry with coriander grit cakes. I have never tasted coriander with grits before so it sounded intriguing. I was sopleasantly surprised the flavor combination was perfect. There was also just an occasional touch of fresh mint, which was also apleasant surprise. The wine suggestions we received to go with each entree was spot on! Amazing place! I think one of the things that is most apparent about Soif de Vin is that you are not just walking in to a place... that has probably one of the most extensive selections of wine in the area, but you are also walking into a new way toexperience whatever you choose from that selection. A simple look around and its apparent that every detail of the decor andlayout of the location reflects the love that the owners have for that experience, right down to some amazing original art thatadorns the walls.
