I thought speed & basic order taking were something of prerequisites for working in a coffee shop, but maybe I've been spoiled... by Caribou & Starbucks... Getting my order taken accurately was a painful process, & it took a crazy amount of time to get 1latte. Definitely don't go there if you're in a hurry! My companion got a regular coffee & is satisfied with it. My latte isgross. Fortunately, I have other coffee options closer to home. Read more
I used to come here all the time a few years ago and noticed the interior has changed. Really miss those charging ports on the... really long table and the couches. This visit something was wrong with the toaster? Not sure but they couldn't do any breakfastsandwiches. Otherwise the coffee is a classic in Wilmington. Highly recommend the apricot sweet tea. Vacationing in Wilmington and found this coffee shop that sells smoothies. I ordered the Green Wave, pretty good. Tropical... Smoothie is still my favorite. They offer the Smoothie in 2 sizes, 16 oz and 32 oz. There is a sign above the straws and napkinsthat said exceeding expectation of every customer every visit... They didn't exceed my expectation but they met it. I paid withcredit card and there was an option to tip 15%, 18%, etc... I'm not sure why there isn't a 10% for carryout. I usually tip 15%carryout and 20% dine in regardless of the type of restaurants, but the minimum should be 10% considering it's a coffee shop. The car line had 3 in it so I chose to go inside. With one person ahead of me I figured I could reasonably get a beverage in a... couple minutes. The woman ahead of me got a coffee, I ordered a latte. With three baristas working it took their team ofspecialists right at ten minutes to prepare. I am embarrassed for them. You would figure that their posted goal is to ?Exceedevery customers expectations??. Well, the definitely did. I expected a 2-3 minute latte and they exceeded it tremendously to tenminutes. Read more
