I just wanted to commend you on the three young ladies who worked the catering event at the Old Home Farmstead on October 22.... From their cheerful smiles, commitment to friendly and polite service, the beautiful decor to complement our venue and theirwillingness to work hard--we couldn't have asked for a better group to with which to work! The food was delicious, the threeyoung ladies were polite and professional, they bussed the tables, helped rinse and pack the dishes, left neatly packedleftovers and we didn't have to worry about anything. It was a wonderful group and I will definitely recommend your restaurantto others!! Read more

We searched ?BBQ? in Wilmington on our first visit to NC, and this place did not disappoint! Trust the reviews. Staff are... friendly, food was terrific, in a clean and family-friendly place. Standouts: Yard bird chicken, baby back ribs, Mac & cheese, cold slaw (yeah they spell it like that). Terrific stuff. Read more

Cannot rave enough about this place that had me salivating in the parking lot. Staff has a way of making you feel amazing... whether a vet or merely a maverick. Super friendly and polite. Brontosaurus sized portions, catered to every need and wish-including a request from someone in my party for the ?burnt end brisket?. Food is delicious and it has a special place in myheart for honoring veterans and those in active duty. I only wish I could eat here more often Read more

Awesome BBQ and sides. Veteran owned, played the national Anthem during lunch, everyone stood and everyone singing along.... Honored the large amount of Navy presence on site. Awesome to see the patriotism. "Go Navy" Read more

This is very good place to go and eat some BBQ meat. They do an amazing job cooking it and preparing it. It is a must have and... must try. Also, the staff is very nice and easy going. They have a veteran type environment. I look forward to going there again Read more

Today was our 1st day here ever! Megan the manager made us feel very welcomed and was amazing! What an awesome place! The food... is amazing and the customer service was exceptional! I was reminiscent on the Big Red in a bottle I couldn't resist, another TXthing that's hard to find in NC. Faith, our waitress was on point and took excellent care of us. She deserves recognition forgoing above the call and being outstanding in the field! All the workers as well were so friendly. The National Anthem had usreal emotional and in tears as a veteran of the US Army, HOOAH and disabled Police Officer!! We will definitely be back andalways in time to say the Pledge of Allegiance! ???????????????????????????????????????????? Read more

This place is amazing!! Their meats are always fresh, their sauces are INCREDIBLE (try the Smoky Mountain). And homemade... BLUEBERRY COBBLER! Cmon now. ???? On our last visit, Kayla Sullivan went COMPLETELY out of her way to make sure we were takencare of, and has been my number one place to get a bite. My wife and I loved them enough that we even had them cater ourwedding! Highly Recommend. Read more

I didn't get to try too many things from the menu here. First the good. I enjoyed the variety of sauces. The servers were all... very nice. And the decor was really cool. There was something there for everyone as far as sauce flavors. I had the brisket andthe pulled pork. The pulled pork was tasty. And the Mac and Cheese was great. Ok... The other stuff... Tomatoes in the collards,???????????. The portions for $20 per person in NC were small. The brisket was not moist. This could be because it was later inthe day, but that served it so. It was what it was. No real bark or fatty portion in the serving. Read more
