I had the pleasure of enjoying this restaurant while visiting Wilmington. The food from appetizers to entree were hot and... delicious. Our server was very attentive and since it was a colder day he turnt the outdoor heaters on for us. This is a truly local spot, and it was fun to visit. We had an awesome server who was very helpful with menu questions and... suggestions. We opted for the outside area, which I would recommend over the main dining room, weather permitting (it'scovered, but open on the sides). Many, many fresh fish options, and about a half-dozen different preparations available. Theshe crab bisque is quite good, especially with the cheddar biscuits that are served to the table. Great food and excellent customer service. Ordered oysters and two of them were really small. The sever went to the kitchen and... had them make up a few more. Best grits I've ever had. In house breaded and fried seafood. Everyone had delicious food and justamazed at the customer service here, above and beyond. Read more

First time here, our dinner was fabulous. Grilled shrimp with side of grits, snow crab legs and kids chicken tenders. All... delicious! Our server Mandy was super kind. Also, the salt hand scrub in the bathroom is to-die-for, I bought some to takehome. We will be back! Read more

Second time here and it did not disappoint! Great food and even better service from a lovely lady named Kelly. Our daughter... enjoyed the she crab soup with collards, she was a huge fan of the soup though my husband was not. He felt there was too strongof maybe a sherry flavor? But that?s tastes/opinions for you! He enjoyed the fried shrimp platter and I enjoyed the grilledscallops plate with a salad and their grits with lobster cream sauce. The grits and sauce were delicious and the scallops wereperfectly cooked, no tough or chewy pieces at all! We had great service and a decent meal here. The outdoor seating was nice - covered and protected us from the rain while cooling... us off with fans. For food, the cheese biscuits were buttery and delicious. The crab dip had some shells in it but tasted prettygood. The seasoning on the fried dishes was quite bland and lacked any salt or flavor, though it was fried well. I'd come backand try again though. The meal was great otherwise! Read more

In Wilmington for a soccer tournament and just happened to be staying right behind this gem of a place. Made reservations on... Friday 11/19 and glad we did. The She Crab soup is amazing. The oysters are fresh and local and the shuck wizard Norris is anawesome dude. The service and food was so good that we had to come back before we left. So we made reservations again for Sundayevening and arrived and unfortunately they were having plumbing issues so at first they had to let us know that we couldn?t beseated. I know that $&|+ happens and it wasn?t there fault. I was surprised on how rude some other patrons was toward the hostor manager which for this inconvenience. We decided to stick around since we only had to wait there and I?m glad we did. Theygot there issues resolved and we were able to sit and eat just as planned. First time eating here & it turned out to be one of the best seafood restaurants we've ever eaten at. The atmosphere was... exactly what a seafood place should look like, from the wall decorations to the tables themselves. Very friendly &accommodating staff since we had a larger party with several kids. The menu was perfect without being overwhelming withchoices. The grilled shrimp plate with fries & cole slaw was delicious! Portion size was good for the price. I'm not a bigtartar sauce guy, but it was very tasty here.
