Great views, decent food, slow service. I think they are trying while being under-staffed, but it was noticeably slow. The 2... hour limit on the balcony wasn't enforced and could not have been as it took over two hours to complete a two course meal. Itwas my wife and I anniversary and I called and made a reservation for the occasion but there was never a mention of it at therestaurant. Small oversight but would have helped make it more of an experience than just dinner out. Still, one of the bettermeals on the river from other waterfront restaurants in downtown. Read more

This river front spot has been around for over 40 years. The seating is mostly Up on the second floor, and is in a big open... area. It was very loud- not great acoustics- and they must have been short staffed because it took more than 10 Minutes to beacknowledged by wait staff after we were seated and the place wasn?t even half full. Food was fine but not excellent- we hadsalads, entrees and drinks- all good but not great. Somewhat expensive for what it was. Decor is odd- white stucco ceiling withblack trim and creepy red washed walls. Outdoor seating is on these adorable little private balconies- Very cool. Read more

Floriana blew my socks off. Wow. First off, I would like to add we had a reservation for 5 plus two children at 5pm on July 4th.... Yes, two kids. This restaurant wasn?t particularly ideal for children, however, our waitress was absolutely amazing and wentabove and beyond with her kindness and knowledge. (I wish I could remember her name, but hopefully from this review she doesindeed get the recognition because she was superb). Our kids were not on their best behavior, but she did everything she couldto accommodate them. Secondly, the food. Wow. Just wow. Not pictured that we had for apps were Brussels sprouts, calamari, andmussels. The Brussels sprouts were literally so delicious. My filet minion was great. My father ordered (it was his birthday)the special of the day. It was a 28oz tomahawk steak. It was very pricey at $110, but let me tell you it was so. freaking. good.Enough to feed 3 people. His entree came out 20 minutes later then everyone else?s, so the manager came to our table and offeredto make us anything while we waited because it was a mistake on his part. The manager brought my father fresh scallops andshrimp. SO GOOD!! Hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Floriana is absolutely TOP NOTCH! Both the food and service are spectacular. The flavors are so authentic and gives the palate... the most satisfying feeling. Their grilled cheese sandwich has to be the best on the planet and their pasta dishes areperfectly prepared. Their salads are so fresh and delicious and our personal favorite is the baby beets. Dean the operationmanager is an amazing guy and extremely hospitable and genuinely a wonderful person. Our waitress Kaitlyn was phenomenal andfull of friendly energy. A very nice place in downtown Wilmington. Nicely decorated, giving you a warm welcoming. The wine was good. Stared with a cold... Prosecco and a bean soup as a starter. It was ok, but a bit too salty for me. The shrimp pasta was delicious, and went very wellwith the Sauvignon Blanc. One star less for the lack of variety. Read more

We had dinner on the balcony for Valentine's Day and had a great experience. The service from the time we entered until we... left was excellent and the view is definitely worth sitting on the balcony for. The food was good, but a couple of itemswere a little bland. There wasn't anything particular that made us go "wow", but is wasn't bad. We would eat here again, butmaybe not on Valentine's, because it was a little pricey. Read more

Was an amazing dining experience!!! The waiter knew exactly what to recommend and hit it spot on. It?s one of the more expensive... places to eat but the amount of food and quality makes it absolutely perfect!! The pecan pie was absolutely amazing. Willdefinitely be back! The service was outstanding. My glass never got below the halfway mark. We sat on the private balcony and itwas perfect.
