Reviews for El Arriero Taqueria 2 in Wilmington, NC
My go to spot for Mexican food in Wilmington. Great tacos and burritos. Salsa bar inside is always loaded with options.
Excellent birria tacos! My husband and I couldn't quit raving about them all evening. Friendly customer service, fresh... ingredients, and fair prices. I do wish you received chips with your meal because they had some tasty salsas on their bar, butyou can purchase chips for an extra price if you want. Will definitely return to the other dishes. Fantastic Carnitas Tacos ???? and amazing desserts. Cheesecake is not too sweet, homemade, smooth but could have a little... thinner crust. Tres leces was awesome and had just enough cinnamon on top. The chocoflan was my favorite. The churros were alittle raw in the middle. I'm stuffed!! 3/18/21 Ordered take out again!! Loved it!! Fantastic staff and food. My newfavorite for Mexican food ? We came her valentines weekend with our kids. It was nice service and great food. The place was clean and we loved it. The only... thing was how they charged for shrimp quesadilla. We would definitely return. Read more
Best hidden taco gem in Wilmington! We ordered two tacos, Gordita, Chicken quesadilla, two burritos, four Mexican Cokes, and... horchata. Food was hot, quick, spicy and full of flavor. Restrooms were clean and remodeled with beautiful tile. We trulyenjoyed it and will be back for more. Read more
After trying quite a few different Latin restaurants in town, I noticed an online, takeout Parillada special that feeds 4 people... for only $25. Why not try out this new restaurant and support local business in a time of need. FOOD: 2 large foil trays andsides, including... -Carnitas -Chorizo -Grilled Chicken -Steak -Tortillas -Rice & Beans -Sauces and garnishes The chorizotasted very good and so did the steak. They were seasoned nicely and were up to standards of good, authentic, Mexican cuisine. The chicken was my favorite protein though. It tasted as if it has been showered or marinated with fresh lime juice and theherbs added that nice, fresh note to the juicy chicken strips. My only disappointment were the carnitas. Such a shame. At aglance, they all appeared to be plump and ready to blast juicy goodness in your mouth. It was quite the opposite. All, but 4,carnitas were dry and was like chewing on jerky. It appears very lean vittles were used or they were overcooked. All in all, this was a great value for $25 and fed a family of 3 for 2 days. It's not the best mexican / latin food I've had, but it'sstill good and is truly authentic. The house-made tortillas were excellent as well. SCORE: 3.8 STARS!! SERVICE: There wereno vehicles in front of me as I pulled to the drive-thru window without having a prior order placed already. As I peeked intothe drive-thru glass, I noticed 2 female employees inside. They acknowledged my presence after about 2 minutes by simplystaring out the window, probably not knowing why I was there. The young lady at the window explained that it was call-aheadonly but would make an exception for me since no other orders were pending. Cool! Thank you for that. I only saw her againwhen my food was handed out 10 minutes later and I was on my way. Above average service. SCORE: 4 STARS!! OVERALL SCORE: ElArriero Taqueria offers up huge portions of home-cooked latin food for a great value. It's not anything Read more
Fantastic! Delicious flavors, great options at reasonable prices. It's a terrific Mexican restaurant experience. I got a pick-3... combo with a tostada, quesadilla and a taco with rice and beans, I really enjoyed it. Great salsa bar. Five stars! Read more
Food and prices were good. Fresh watermelon drink was delicious. Would have given more stars but they ran out of a lot of food... that we ordered and didn't provide refunds for some of the stuff and inadequate substitutions were offered for some of themissing items. Read more
