I have eaten at SO many Chinese restaurants in my life, and thought I had found "the one" back in my hometown before... moving to the coast...but Double Happiness has even my (former) favorite Chinese restaurant on the east coast beat, hands-down!Gorgeous restaurant, super-friendly and helpful staff, and the FOOD!! - everything I tried was absolutely delicious andperfectly prepared! Everything at Double Happiness is absolutely delicious! Sublime! Perfection! So full of perfect flavor! This time I had the... chicken fried rice (it's a huge portion) and the Mu Shu Duck. There literally is no better Chinese food anywhere. And for allyou food snobs who want to know if it's authentic: When you order your food in English, they write it down in Chinese.Witnessed it with my own eyes. You owe it to yourself to eat here. The restaurant is beautiful and that is why they get a 2 star. I recently ordered a shrimp sesame appetizer. It was horrible.... The shrimp were those pre cooked ones and when u deep fry or fry get some tough and have no flavor. They were just likewarm. This restaurant has a very limited menu. When I asked if I could order shrimp and broccoli I was told it would be at thedinner price of 21.00. Really it was lunch !!!!! The girl at the bar , taking several orders was very rude refusing mostrequests by other customers. I did have high hopes for this place and now will never return. Read more

I had the best lunch date with my friend today. I have never been here before. Amazing hardly says it. I had the chicken curry.... Oh my goodness! Excellent service all around. Phonomanal food. Thank you Leigh Anne and the kind lady up front and chefs. TheHot and sour soup side was the best I have ever had. We went at lunch and left paying $24. I have left overs for 3 days. You dothe math. Ordered some takeout online. Got the twice cooked pork and Mongolian beef w/bok choy. Email said the food would be ready at... 5:36; got there ten minutes early and it was sitting on the counter already.
