Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The menu is extensive, but most of the party I was with opted for the Greek... entrees. Everyone enjoyed the food. The Greek salad was very good, and the moussaka was excellent. I don't usually orderdessert, but the cherry cheesecake was so attractive that I had to order it. Very yummy! Read more
I just want to let everyone know who is eats at Cosmo?s restaurant on Maryland Avenue in Wilmington Delaware I will never go... there again. We were there to eat breakfast this morning with my two grandchildren. And my daughter and my granddaughter who is2 years old was choking and turning blue and nobody from the restaurant came to help us or make sure she was OK. Mygranddaughter was throwing up and we had to do our own thing and clean her vomit . Every person that was sitting there just lookthe other way. The waitress didn?t even come up and check and see if we needed any help they just kept pouring customers coffee.If it wasn?t for this Spanish couple that was sitting next to us and helped us no one else would of helped us we were there onour own. So for everyone who goes to Cosmos on Maryland Avenue just be aware that you will not get any help if your child is indanger.? I called the manager after we got home and make sure my granddaughter was OK. And she said I?m sorry we are really busyand we didn?t notice anything. I said I saw a couple of the waitresses and they just kept pouring coffee. So at the end the dayis all about the money or who you are. My partner and I love diners! We always try to stop at at least 3 or 4 whenever we are traveling to different states. This might... be my favorite diner of all time! The food was great, the atmosphere was charming and the service exceptional. Our server Kellywas amazing. She is such a gem! the waitress (Heather) was super sweet, knew exactly how to make sure I had what I needed without hovering. the food came... quickly and was delicious. it's a very cute diner - very good family vibes. what put it over the top was when a doordashdriver came in to pick up and the gentleman (Tom?) offered him a water because he had to go back out in the heat. so sweet! Very disorganized staff. Stood at front for about 5 minutes before anyone was acknowledged (myself and probably 5 others). Two... employees had to decide who was going to be our host(ess). When they figured it out, the host took me to my table and said "I'vegot the breakfast menu here for you. Is that okay?" Umm? it's like 1pm, dude. No, it's not okay. An older guy likes to just comeout of the kitchen and stand, staring at customers like a stalker (not like a typical manager would do). One woman asked anotherif she wanted help and the second woman said "I'M BUSY!", but refused help. Salad was swimming in dressing. Lunch entree(pastichio) wasn't bad. A little different than what I'm used to, but that's why I ordered it. The set of silverware across thetable from me had not been washed properly. Still had something on them. The flap on the sugar jar thing for coffee doesn'tclose, so at night, their bugs (I'd be willing to bet they have bugs) probably have a blast in there. Biggest problem was thebread that the server brought me. Underneath the bread, inside the coffee filter with the bread, was someone else's balled upstraw wrappers! Like I started to butter my bread and saw it and thought to myself "I don't remember putting my straw wrapper inthere." Nope, mine was still on the table. This is a casual restaurant so you can "come as you are". The food is some of the best I've ever had! If you are looking for... fresh, home cooked, made from scratch food then treat yourself to a meal here. If you have dietary restrictions, special orders are no problem. No time to sit?
