I first had a Casapulla hoagie in 1979. And I don't think the store has changed since that first visit. And neither has the... quality of their sandwiches or service. There is not a better Italian hoagie or cheesesteak in the entire state. The folksbehind the counter and on the phone are just as friendly and kind as they were 43 years ago! To say the ordering system is unorganized is an understatement. It seems most people don't care though and deal with it. It's... off putting though, to me... I call ahead, literally get a voice recording to "keep trying"... YET, when you are standing in thestore waiting, the phone rings and literally not a single employee pays it attention. ?? I do like the Italian yet it'snot supernatural, I can make the same exact, yet it's convenient to buy one. However, I ordered a tuna salad sub recently andI got mounds and mounds of onions and very, very little tuna salad, which was average. A large Italian and a medium tuna subwas ~$32. Not worth that price. But today was it for me... against my better judgment I went in around 2pm thinking itmight not be crowded and I wanted one item, an Italian... It wasn't busy. There was one man in front of me... he literallyordered and I was standing right behind him at the register getting ready to order. He ordered two subs... the lady who tookhis order, who acknowledged me walk in, made eye contact with me after she took his order, turned away and proceeded to make hisorder. Another lady slicing meats just finished slicing, avoided eye contact with me and walked past the griddle tops to begone.
