The food was delicious and the best part is they make it fresh when you order it. I just moved from Miami, Florida where there?s... a lot of Jamaican restaurants and this is one of the best I?ve been to. Read more

Ela's has some of the best and most consistent Jamaican food you'll find on the eastside. Unlike most Jamaican spots you'll... have to wait for your order to be cooked fresh, but if you're willing to wait you'll be greeted with some of the juiciestjerk/curry/bbq jerk chicken you've ever had. Make sure you get a cup of Ela's Punch to go with your meal as well! Read more

Let me start with the Good ???? Good= friendly staff, clean inside ,nice size portions and variety of choices. Now the not so... good/ needs improvement ???? Not so Good=wait times and consistency of food . First visit was a week ago and we enjoyedeverything- had jerk chicken dinner and 6 BBQ wings and some dumplings. There was a 30-40 min wait but we ordered spur of themoment After our first meal we decided this was the place we were going to get hubby?s bday food ?..???? When we came back forthe Second visit was a little disappointing ???? I called in my order at 11:30 right when they opened to try and give plenty oftime .. was told 40 min and planned accordingly . When we arrived at the appointed time the food wasn?t ready yet so we waited.. we didn?t receive our food until another 40-45 min for a total of close to an hour and a half from the time we ordered. Thiswas for my husbands birthday and we were meeting family in the park so it pushed our plans back a bit . Also the dozen BBQ wingswe received did not seem fresh and were a bit tough almost like they were from the day before and this too was our first timetrying the goat curry, which in my opinion could have been cooked a little longer as it was not as tender as we are used towith curry goat we have had other places which was very disappointing given it is one of the higher priced menu items. Unfortunately the second visit was not the best . The wait time beyond what was stated ,an error with bill ,the quality ofthe wings, and the curry goat after spending double our first visit left me a bit sad. They seemed a bit short staffed which weall have gotten used to with this pandemic . The lady who took our order and was going back and forth to the kitchen was verynice which was wonderful . I want to support this business and even gave a generous tip for my take out both times in support .We need this variety of food choices , but this second visit honestly has me a bit apprehensive about r Read more
