I was excited to experience the coffee house. As I've driven past it many times. My first impression walking through the door ... was that it was a hip and chill atmosphere. Fun decor.Radio playing them jams but I was disappointed at standing at the counterfor 30 seconds without being acknowledged. I felt like a bother. On a lighter note the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious and myice coffee was just great after adding extra lavender or any lavender to begin with (as my order was not correct off thebat.) This place has a very alternative/hipster feel to it. When we went the staff was 2 guys behind the counter. I enjoyed my latte... but my wife wasn't too happy with her frozen coffee. She said it felt more like a shake. I drank it for her. ???? The hotchocolate was also good. It is a little pricey and we could overhear the conversation from the staff. .they did tone it downwhen we were there but you can tell it's colorful conversation. There's also slot machines there and artwork for sale on thewalls. I was a little disappointed that the nice looking sofa area was behind a wall and was only for employees. Why not havesomething like that for customers? My latte was delicious so I will go back when the mood strikes again. Read more
Always friendly and always delicious. Good sized menu, not overwhelming but there?s definitely something for everyone. The woman... also gave us a free slice of carrot cake and it was amazing. I?ve been going for years and it has yet to let me down. Read more
The invasion of Starbucks has made coffee shops much more lackluster and predictable. The days when coffee shops were cultural... centers for bohemians are mostly long gone. Now most coffee shops are about as edgy as McDonalds,. But this place still has awhiff of an alternative atmosphere and it is one of the truly distinctive coffee shops on the south side that is far from auniversity. I actually hear intellectual conversations there occasionally as well. The staff are also fascinating and one ofthe servers has many marvelous stories connected to being a roadie. It is worth going out of the way to meet friends here, Theonly downside is that is somewhat pricey. Read more
They have ice cream, coffee sandwiches, shakes. The atmosphere is cool. I wish they didn?t have the slot machines it messes with... the chill vibe. The guy was pretty cool. But the old lady? she was pretty grumpy.. messed with the vibe.. messed up our ordertwice.. it was our first time there no one listed the menu online so I took photos of it. I will return.. the coffee was prettysweet so next time I will try something else but even though it was sweet the flavor was good. I just wish the old lady wouldstay in the back and do the paperwork and not the orders? but can?t let one grumpy old lady mess up your day.. just smile andmove on. Read more
Chocolate chip cookie and espresso are ok. My complaint is it's a little pricey. Spent a little over $7 altogether. Lots of... choices to pick from like sandwiches to alcohol. Lots of seating including outdoor patio seating. They also hold shows/eventsupstairs. Interesting coffee shop in the downtown area of willow springs. Read more
The place is cute, there's outside seating and places to sit inside. I've passed this place hundreds of times but never stopped... in until recently. For me, the service was v e r y slow and I wasn't too impressed with the coffee. We were there on a slowSunday afternoon and I can't imagine what the rush periods look like. Other reviews said they waited over 45 minutes. I used acredit card to pay but the charge I received and the amount the cashier told me were two different numbers. Perhaps a highercharge for credit card payments? If they mentioned there were different prices for cash vs. card, I would have paid cash,especially since the difference was $2+ on top of already expensive drinks. Read more
