Reviews for Vermont Tap House in Williston, VT
Their pizza crust is excellent, fresh and chewy. They have a good kids menu for picky eaters, including chicken fingers and Mac... and cheese. Pizzas are generous portions and can be made to order. Root beer floats were a hit! Staff was very accommodating.Cocktails were also delicious. Read more

Everything was solid, great drink selection, good prices, large portions, and good service. I have no idea why chilis had more... people eating there, instead of here! Read more
Some visitors may call the Vermont Tap House slow in terms of service. I like to say relaxed...seriously, what's the rush in... enjoying spectacular food and drink with friends? (And read on, to see how we put the service to the test!) After visitinganother downtown Burlington "icon" the previous night, and leaving disappointed, I was hesitant to bring our out-of-state guestto another pub-style experience. However, the Vermont Tap House delivered on a unique and spectacular Vermont dining experiencethat will be remembered! Leaving the trappings of Church Street behind for a late day flight from BTV, we chose Vermont TapHouse for a hearty afternoon lunch/dinner. A ten-minute wait for a table was worth every minute. We sampled brews while perusingan intriguing menu of appetizers, sandwiches, and pizzas -- along with daily specials. We settled on Chicken Pesto Cavatappi(specials menu), Roasted Pork Sandwich with Apple Chutney and Slaw, and a Vermont Cheesesteak, and not a bite was bad or wasted. It's difficult to choose the highlight of the meal because each was delicious in its own respect. The grilled chicken with thepasta was juicy and bathed in a deliciously delicate pesto that was both satisfying and subtle. With a mix of roasted vegetablesstirred through, the dish was lunch perfection. The roast pork with apple chutney, likewise, was juicy and sweet, and wecomplemented the fries and sandwich with a splash of house BBQ sauce that only added to the savory pork. The Vermont cheesesteakwas melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with caramelized onions and more cheese than a Cabot outlet store. Our server, Shirly C, wasattentive and friendly...and as for that "slow" service, when our airline called to put us on an early departure, Shirly madesure we were out the door and on-time with no delay. The Vermont Tap House is a gem on the outskirts of Burlington and worth thedrive from downtown and with one of the top dessert menus in the state, there are plenty more reason Read more
Sat at the bar and had a cider and gluten free pizza. Service was great and the pizza was great too. Lots of drink options as... well as food. Read more
We ordered the gatherer salad to share. This salad was pretty good. Apples, cranberries, candied pecans with greens was pretty... tasty. It was nice they split the salad for us. We also ordered the margherita pizza. The pizza was ok. I usually love woodfired pizza and especially margherita, but the pizza didn't have any salt added at all, it tasted pretty bland. They didn't usethe typical fresh mozzarella cheese, just an extra light amount of shredded mozzarella. The crust was pretty good. Then sinceordering a split salad, it would have been nice to be served the salad first, instead of both the pizza and salad together.Pizza was not warm by the time we finished our salad. Lastly the service was just lacking. We had to flag down people to ask forthings. No personal attention at all. When you are dropping $30-$40 for dinner you expect a little personal touch. It wasn'tbusy when we showed up. It was before 5. Read more
We stopped here after driving all day and were starving!! After choosing buffalo wings as an app., and enjoyed them VERY much. ... The wings were big and crispy as well as juicy...we ordered the Vermonter pizza with only half with apples. We were verydisappointed. The crust was burnt on one half yet not even warm in the center. The amount of apples was laughable. In two ofmy pieces of pie, I had only 3 slivers of apple. The kicker was the fee that is added to the bill. We overheard another customerasking what this fee was and she said that it is posted on the door so we were aware of it. Ummmmm....not at all, so we paid thefee and looked at the door on the way out. Sure enough the note was posted, but how about telling the customer, "due to therising cost...we have to add a ...% to your bill". Not sure if management is getting the complaints from the waitstaff aboutthis, we hope this and another review will change the way that this policy is held. Read more
Got there around 3-4 on Friday afternoon, it was not that busy but they were short staffed. It took quite a while to get us... seated and for our order. If in a hurry check for their serving time and decide accordingly. The food was good. Got a 16 inchhalf and half BBQ chicken and better buffalo, both were good. The garlic bread was okay. The onion rings were great. Orderedall the four desserts on the menu but they were out of creme brulee. If you are going for brulee make sure to go early when theyopen. Rest of the cheesecake, fried dough bites and peanut butter pecan pie was average. Read more
