Fantastic food. French onion soup, lobster bisque and Beef on Weck were like home cooked meals. Erin and all the staff were... really nice. What a great locals place. Read more

We had a group of 18 celebrating a bday of an 85yr old. The place was packed yet we received absolute terrific service. Our... group ordered full menu items, several trips for bar drinks and they graciously accommodated our bday cake serving. We madereservations in advance so our table was ready for us. I heard NO complaints all night. Everyone was positive and enjoyed ourparty. Read more

This historic restaurant was once owned by famous Buffalo attorney and judge, James Kane, then named Kane's Red Carpet. After... being absent from the area for a while and returning, I found the ambience and decor welcoming and warm, yet familiar, hearkening me back to when it was The Red Carpet. The piano bar is long gone, but the restaurant has filled in the space nicely. An ode to the judge ("Judge's Chambers") hangs on the wall behind the main bar. Numerois historical photos of the restaurant andneighborhood can be found throughout. My niece and I stopped in for a late lunch, after picking her up from the airport. My mom(her grandmother) had worked there when the judge owned it so we were curious and wanted to check it out. We ordered the goudaburger and Cajun cod from the friendly waitress. Both were excellent and prepared to perfection. The waitress checked on ourservice the right amount of times and thanked us for coming there. Even the bar staff thanked us and said goodbye on our wayout, as people were gathering at the bar after work. This entire experience rekindled wonderful memories of our times there inthe 1980s. It was well worth the decision to eat there. We, and more of my family, will return. Read more
