Great place for rich, strong and flavorful coffee in a very beautiful historic home. We met the owner who was a very kind to... tell us the history of the home and her dream come true of owning a coffee shop in her home. Coffee was so good we got a poundof coffee beans. Will not return, customer service was subpar at best. After sharing my experience with a family member, they too said they had... a bad customer experience at this place as well. Owner should work on his customer service skills. Great atmosphere. It was cool to see inside the old building and how it was transformed into this shop. Staff was very friendly.
How did it take us 4 years to visit this place? My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday morning. The atmosphere is wonderful,... and the owner is happy to tell the history of this beautiful house. The coffee was perfect. The only problem we had was whetherto sit in the Cafe and admire the beautiful surroundings or sit on the porch and enjoy the weather. We will definitely be goingback! Great scones and quiche. Beautiful old mansion!! Had two friends with me who were hoping for a variety of tea. Coffee is... definitely the star of the show and it was good. When you have great scones, you are going to attract tea drinkers, so Ibwouldhave given 5 stars for a wider variety (or better adverising?) of tea. Read more
Mmm. Best espresso I've had outside of Italy. The atmosphere could not be moe relaxing or inviting. Will definitely be back.
Lost two local customers. We have come to this coffee shop several times and enjoyed the coffee and ambiance. Male barista/owner... always been kind. Today, the women owner/baker who took our order heard us incorrectly and mistakenly chose "to-go" instead of"for here." We sat at one of the tables as usual, especially as she said, "you can go take a seat and we will bring that out foryou." The barista brought us our coffees and was pleasant. We were confused why they were in to-go cups instead of house cups,but this was no issue to us. We awaited our quiche to be served. The woman comes to give us our food and voices that it wasentered as to-go and so the food and drinks were in containers because of this. We say, "no problem," as we were fine with thecontainers and were understanding of a simple mistake. That is until the woman says, "actually, it is a problem because everyto-go cup and container costs money. If you are ordering for here you need to tell us." We were baffled. I voiced that myfiancé said it was for here when we ordered. She pointed at the receipt and said, "it says to-go right here." This is very poorcustomer service and shows an inability to recognize your own mistake and treat the customer with respect. We paid nearly $20 tobe "scolded." I use this word because her last response was, "I don't want to scold you but you need to tell us that it is notto-go." Our whole perception of this business has changed. We left and we are likely to not come back. We live locally and weeven spoke to her about this while ordering. We will go to the other lovely coffee shops Williamsport has to offer where wewon't be berated. Read more
