The female server is absolutely wonderful- no issues w/ service. This was our go-to Asian restaurant in town for many years for... sushi & hibachi. Went here for the first time ever two days ago. There wasn't anyone there at the time however, when people started to arrive the... waitress was nonexistent. No refills, had to get her attention multiple times. The food was good albeit incredibly expensive forthe lack of service that was given. The waitress was rude it could be either from culturally acceptable behavior or just toomuch work for one person. If you want 5 star service please don't go here, you won't get it. I've had sushi from a lot of restaurants. Sushiya is by far the best place I've ever been. Every time my wife and I go elsewhere... it just doesn't compare. We love coming here, the staff are half the reason we love it. They are always super nice and great totalk with. We'd eat here weekly if money wasn't a problem. Read more

This is one of the best sushi places in Williamsburg, Virginia. The folks here are super nice. The sushi is fresh and delicious... The rolls are huge (at least the ones we ordered but I'm not complaining!) and may be hard to fit in your mouth so beware! Wewanted an early dinner so we came as soon as they opened. Make sure you check their schedule because they close after lunch thenopen up again for dinner. We also ordered their fried rice and yakisoba and those were yummy as well. We are fortunate that thisplace is away from "restaurant row" and near most neighborhoods in the Jamestown area. Read more
