1st time dining here. There was a little wait for a table, but not bad. It looks like a very popular place! Service was great,... food was great. We will definitely be back. I ordered pineapple fried rice and did not expect it to come out in an actualpineapple! Everything was great. Atmosphere is slightly fancy but still mostly casual. New favorite spot! Read more

We went there for AYCE lunch. You order from a special menu. Everything we had was great! We especially enjoyed the Honey... Shrimp. When it came to the sushi, it was all freshly made and very tasty. The ambience was very nice as well. If I had onecomplaint, it would be that they limit you to five pieces of nigiri per person so that part isn?t ?all you can eat,? but thereare plenty of other things to order on the special menu, so it was fine. Ichiban is a great Asian respite. Beautiful inside, with great service and great food. Whether you pick Japanese or Chinese,... you will not be disappointed. The ginger dressing on the garden salad is better than most, the 'House Special' Duck is verygood, and the Orange Beef is spectacular! A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Back to try the Japchae, very good andmy son's Drunken Noodle was spectacular! ???? Wife's Shrimp Asparagus was excellent. Great unfiltered sake; check ?? out thebar! Still an Asian food paradise!! YUM! ???? Read more

Ichiban wants to be a Japanese restaurant, I think, but they do too good a job on Chinese food?and the entire Peninsula has been... suffering for good Chinese food since Steve Hsieh died and the Ming Gate in Hampton shut down a-many years ago now. So I have Ithink always ordered Chinese food at Ichiban?and usually Peking Duck, although today the price is through the roof at $49.00,AND apparently now you have to make an ADVANCE RESERVATION if you want to order it. Which I found out Monday night, January 10,2022, when Sheila and I arrived hungry and cold and grateful to find a good restaurant open on a Monday night. Also on the menuBUT NOT REQUIRING AN ADVANCE RESERVATION is Ichiban?s House Special Crispy Duck with Chinese Vegetables, with sides of friedrice and wonton soup. So I ordered that, and Sheila ordered Moo Shu Chicken, which was accompanied only by the traditionalpancakes. All the food was very good, and it was comforting on a cold night to be dining once more at Ichiban, which has alwaysproved dependable, and occasionally inspired. I sense they are painfully understaffed during the plague, but the waiter racedaround most energetically, refilling our cups of very good green tea twice during the course of the evening. I only noticed mydeep-fried Crispy Duck chunks were warm rather than hot when served, but Sheila?s Moo Shu Chicken was quite hot, so that was allright! Both dishes were quite generous in size, but I was very hungry and ate everything on my plate. Sheila was satisfied totake half of her food home for later. Mention was made by another reviewer of the ?old-fashioned? interior, so I did take onephotograph to give you an idea of the present dining area layout. Ichiban is scrupulously clean and all the staff wear theirmasks as if they were well aware of the value of keeping themselves and their customers healthy. A nice place to visit! Read more

The food is phenomenal every time I go! The service is also amazing. The variety of sushi makes us so happy. And I can never say... no to the orange chicken. It?s perfectly crispy and not overly sweet. The sweet tea is even good. The atmosphere is very nicetoo. They have a more formal dining area as well if you have a larger party or want to do something nice there. Read more

Ichiban has an "All you can eat" hour(s) M-F from 11:30-2:30pm for less than $14 at the time of this review. However, you MUST... get there as soon as it opens or else you will be waiting a long time for your sushi. The sushi chefs make them as you order sothe sushi isn't sitting there waiting for you to select them like a sushi train. You can also order "kitchen dishes" like lomein, rock shrimp, wonton soup, etc.. that is included in the $14. If you want to satisfy your belly with fresh delicious sushiand not have to pay an extravagant amount of money, then this is the place for you! Read more

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. It has a great lunch menu and dinner menu. Also they have a buffet during... the week that has a good variety. For the buffet you order off of a menu and they bring it to you. It can take some time forthem to prepare the food. Would highly recommend this place. Read more
