The pizza was ok. I certainly have had better pie, but it wasn't the worst i ever had. They only have 12 inch pies. 2 pies were... burned. We rented a place 20 minutes away, so I didn't bother to go back and ask for a new pie. Read more
Best pizza in Virginia. It has some flop but somehow has crisp it breaks the pizza laws of physics, and the sauce is very good... this is coming from someone who doesn't like a lot of sauce the crust is very good not too chewy but not too hard just perfect.The oven is wood fire so it is a must try for Virginia because there are no other places that I have seen that have one, theowner is a military vet, it's a treat to watch him work the oven a must try place and easily 8.9 for a Virginia pizza scoringsystem. Fresh toppings, home made dough and a wood fire oven. What more can I say but delicious!! Steve is awesome and a pleasure to... talk to while making the pizzas. I just hope I didn't distract him too much. The plaza location seems a bit quiet but I wasthere on a hot Saturday early evening so maybe that's why. Get your pie here. After all it's from the heart. Very light, airy and toasty crust with a moist, succulent center. How's thisfor local ingredients, in the summer there are planter boxes full of tomatoes, basil and other herbs growing in the courtyard.My wife and I retired to Williamsburg a few years back and are busy spending our kids inheritance on eating out, this is notjust the best pizza in town it is also some of the best food in the area.
