Reviews for LochenHeath Golf Club in Williamsburg, MI
Superb golf, on the challenging to hard side, very under rated. Some F&B to rival any club anywhere
Definitely one of the best golf experiences you can have in Northern Michigan. Course is immaculate and tough.
Absolutely AMAZING!! Best course I have ever played in Michigan!! Amazing Top to bottom...club house, bar,... restaurant...service!! They make you feel at home. Truly an amazing experience!! Read more
We were able to play Lochenheath earlier this week through the courtesy of a member there. It was a great experience all... around. The course itself is interesting and challenging without being brutal. Greens were top notch. The scenery is gorgeousas pretty much every hole offers a view of Grand Traverse Bay. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that we could have usedmore sand in the traps (which is ironic, as the entire surrounding are is essentially a giant sand dune!). All in all though agreat golf course and a great golf experience! We had lunch after our round and the food and ambiance were both great. Amongthe better golf course meals I have had. Finally, a big shout out to the PEOPLE there! We were welcomed with both courtesy andenthusiasm, the wait staff was excellent and even joined in out group's banter seamlessly. All of us agreed that is was a greatexperience and one of the highlights of our trip. Read more
9/2020 - went for lunch on an early fall afternoon during the pandemic & ate outside. Good social distancing practices & great... service. We both had Chef Eric's morel bisque, again (see a review from last year below), which continues to be awesome. Alsohad the heirloom tomato capresé salad - it too was fantastic! And believe it or not, the cup of coffee I had was memorable(very smooth & silky, & I prefer dark roast). The view overlooking the course & East Grand Traverse Bay was fantastic. Thoughexpensive ($69 for 2 without any alcohol), for a special treat, it's worth it, which is why I changed my prior rating from lastyear from 4 to 5 stars. 7/2019 - Went for lunch on a Saturday with a large group. Was promptly seated & generally had goodservice. Great view. Everyone loved their entreés, especially Chef Eric's signature morel bisque. Water glasses were alwaysfilled. The only glitch was that our server was the only one bringing out our meals, so 5 trips ... Read more
Very dynamic and perfectly maintained golf course - not a boring shot out there. What really made this 5 stars was the awesome,... warm hospitality of Patrick in the pro shop, and Terry the head pro. We had just flown in and were pretty beat, so theirpleasant demeanor and attentiveness to any need was welcomed. Not only that, but since the beer cart was done for the day, theypersonally delivered beer and water to our group on the course. We will absolutely return. Above and beyond service. You set thebar high! Thanks guys. Read more
Play it... From the tips!!! Great views and a tough; very tough challenge...great staff, small clubhouse but no waisted... space, plenty to choose from with the LochenHeath logo... The restaurant is a solid 5 star, the food is some of the best I'veever had at a golf course... The outside patio views also are pretty great over looking the east traverse bay... This place is alittle gem... Tons of slope on the greens so if the superintendent is in a bad mood it'll be a very very difficult day on thecourse. Read more
I'm a little late it writing this review but it needs to written. The service at this restaurant was one of the best experiences... I have yet had. Everything on the menu looked so good that I couldn't decide what to order. The chef came out and offered tomake a seven course dinner with his choice of different menu options and wine pairings so that I could try as much food aspossible. It was a night to remember, thank you! Read more
