Reviews for Hunger Square in Williams, AZ
Great food and the best hosts we could ask for! We enjoyed meeting the family who runs the restaurant and were very happy with... the order they suggested. Loved the Palak Paneer and the Shrimp Curry. I've had Indian food all over the US and this wasconsistently good. Fair warning that when they say spicy, they mean spicy ??????? for an American palate. I do suggest gettingbigger and nicer paper napkins for comfort, though I didn't mind the disposable plates. Try something new, you won't bedisappointed! Read more
We were so excited to find Indian food in Williams! The family fare is a bit different than the ?traditional? restaurant... options- AND our butter chicken and lamb curry were delicious! The lamb was so tender and the sauces are spicy and savory. Theowner/cook is a great conversationalist and a fun host. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the chairs are comfortable too.Items are made fresh daily- so menu varies. We will definitely come back for more. Read more
Absolutely phenomenal and fresh food. The paneer is made in house, everything fresh and from scratch. We are already planning... our next weekend to come up from Phoenix just to have dinner at Hunger Square. Our 8 year old kept ordering more and more foodand devouring it all. The owner/chef is so attentive, kind, and what a pleasure to talk to. great service, great food, a placethat is obviously very dear to the community as one local after another kept coming in to dine while we were there. A must visitfor sure. Read more

Best authentic home cooked Indian food I have ever had. Made all the good Indian food I had before mediocre and lackluster.... Definitely worth a try, and don?t be fooled by the seemingly simple set up. The food is the gem! Read more

This was my wife's 1st taste of Indian flavors. I chose the right place, the chicken biryani and shrimp with vegetables were... amazing. I went 3 out 5 on heat level, glad I did, the spices in the shrimp have a kick to them. The staff were very helpfulexplaining the dishes and the chef said everything is from scratch. They have a nice quiet restaurant with plenty of seating. Ioverheard them saying they recently opened, business was slow but steady, I am sure when people discover the flavor here it willbecome very popular. Read more
Authentic and honest Indian food . They cook all their recipes from scratch everyday as compared to most commercial restaurants... who preserve their gravies in cold storage . Homely recipes with minimum fuss but great taste. Highly recommend the place, soshow your support to such amazing entrepreneurs for bringing great businesses to small town America !
