I?ve eaten at this establishment several times over the years. It?s been good enough that it?s pulled me back in from time to... time. Today was not that day. When I ordered a two meat dinner, the employee asked what two meats I wanted. When he suggestedthe brisket, he failed to tell me there was a dollar up charge. It?s only a dollar, but it?s the principle. Then when I got thebrisket and the turkey, both were so incredibly tough and dry. I kept putting barbecue sauce on the meat, but it simply did nothelp my experience. In addition, my partner at lunch was disappointed that they no longer had ham or corn. He said they?vealways had ham, but clearly that?s no longer the case. Something has changed over the years - either they have new managementor they simply don?t care?or both. it?s sad to me that all good things must come to an end. We like going here and just ordering meat by the pound, keto friendly for sure, and gluten free. The sauces are awesome too.... Definitely recommend checking it out if you like meat and BBQ. Read more
If you ever get a chance to swing by Wichita I highly recommend you try this place! Might be my favorite bbq place ever. I got... the 2 meat dinner, ribs and pulled pork. The portions of meat were big, the ribs were fall off the bone tender and pulled porkwas on point. I did the best I could but I had so much leftover. Love this place! This place is SO SO SO Yummy!! Was in the area for 3 days and ate here twice. Knocked it outta the park both times. Order was... correct, portions were huge, food was piping hot and staff was super friendly both times. Tried the 3 meat dinner first stop -got ribs, brisket and pork. Ribs were fall of the bone with a great smoke ring on the edge. Pork and brisket were tender and notfatty. Got the 1 meat dinner the second time with the pork. Same as the first visit - super tender, juicy and notfatty. Mashed potatoes w/gravy and baked beans as sides both times. Potatoes seemed like actual mashed potatoes, not instantstyle. Baked beans were tasty with a bit of a smokey flavor but not overwhelming. Probably the best part of my trip. Read more
This BBQ is awesome and I?m from Texas !!! The place is spotless even the outside of the business is clean. Usually the best BBQ... places are the dirtiest but not in this case. If you?re American, chances are, you live BBQ. Stopped here, as I had been to one in Omaha, NE before. There are a handful of... locations. They are based out of Kansas, but there are a couple in Nebraska, 1 in Iowa, and one in Arizona. About 16 locationstotal. As always, BBQ sounded good, so we stopped. Was hard to choose what to get. Not for any reason aside from it all lookedand sounded good. We both opted to get a pulled pork sandwich with the curly fries. All of it was very good. The curly fries arenot seasoned, like you may think from they way Hardee?s and Arby?s have their. They are a normal fry, cut in curly fashion, buta bit thicker than the former places mentioned. Sandwiches were good, & fries were good. The BBQ sauce? just 2 choices and I?vehad better at plenty of other places, but it did the job. I wouldn?t hesitate to give one of these locations a try. This place is a local favorite. "Don't be late, they close at 8." It is located on 47th across from the KFC there. They have... good barbeque. Several different items & sides. You can dine-in, order from the drive-thru, or do catering. They have hot andmild barbeque sauces. I like their watermelon tea. Nothing more to say about hog wild. I moved to Colorado and there is nothing that comes close to the best. So when I'm back home... that's why I stop at hog wild pit bbq and get a large pulled pork sandwich and fries. Great BBQ Read more
