Second time eating from Hibachi Boy and was less impressed than the first time. Ordered the same food but the quality and taste... was much different this time around. Yakisoba Fried Rice Side of noodles Food came cold which is fine since I can justmicrowave it all. However the rice just did not taste right, unfortunately. Had 3 bites and couldn't continue eating. Arrived and was the only customer in the store, placed my to-do order and sat down. Multiple customers came and went after me.... By the time I received my food, 40 minutes later (Ordered at 5:42, received at 6:22) 3 other to-go orders were picked up, and 3tables of invidividuals that arrived after me had their food. I inquired about my order about 20 minutes in to my wait and thewoman at the register checked a bag that was sitting on the counter for a while and said "we are waiting on sushi" even thoughtwo of the customers that ordered after me had already received their sushi. When I finally arrived home, aside from my foodbeing room temperature, I discovered that my Hibachi Beef with no mushrooms was actually Hibachi Chicken with what seemed likeextra mushrooms and one of my sushi roll orders that was supposed to have shrimp, had no protein at all. I'll admit that notchecking before I left is on me, but starting off as the only customer in store, waiting 40 minutes just for my order to bewrong and my rice taste like cardboard was not exactly the experience you look for in a restaurant. The food was good and the staff was nice but I'm giving it 2 stars because they food was made incorrectly. I requested when I... ordered NO MUSHROOMS. I wasn't sure she heard me so I double checked that she put no mushrooms and she said she was going to gotell the chefs. The meal was, unfortunately, nothing special. It certainly wasn't bad, and I cleared my plate of Chicken with Spicy Basil, but... my brother let me try the Orange Chicken he got and it was very dry and overly salty. I believe the restaurant was understaffedas, even with a small amount of patrons, our food took a long while to arrive. When it did, it was quite cool, which didn't helpanything. I ordered two meals and an order of spring rolls through GrubHub. The delivery driver asked if there was more to the order and... he was told it was complete, even though one meal was missing. So then myself and my husband only got one meal to split betweenthe two of us, and honestly after sharing that meal I am not all that upset that the other meal was missing because it was sobad that we'd probably be going out to get something else instead anyway. I have had better Asian meals from the freezer sectionat the grocery store. I'm new to the area and I eat out a lot, but I will not be returning to get food from Hibachi Boy again. Read more
My family and I ordered take out from here. And none of us could even eat it. The food was beyond salty. My teenage son,... who never drinks water with his dinner, drank 2 bottles of water and couldn't even stomach the dinner. I got the hibachi spicybasil chicken. And the chicken was so dried out from the salt couldn't even tell if it was overcooked or just old chicken. The rice and noodles were also beyond salty couldn't even taste any other flavor. We ended up throwing it away. Waste of 35dollars we spent on dinner. Read more
Would definitely recommend coming here! The food is as good as Kobe across the street. You pay half as much as Kobe only to... sacrifice the ambiance. If you go to hibachi restaurants just for the food, this is definitely the way to go. I had the filetand it was a 7/10. I tried the hibachi shrimp off my moms plate and it was a 9/10. I will be getting the hibachi shrimp the nexttime I come. The two sushi rolls we had were phenomenal! Another 9/10! The only downside is the food isn?t piping hot when itgets to your table like it is at a hibachi grill where they cook in front of you. Overall, I rate the meal at a 8.5/10. Read more
