I ordered the Four Cheese Bacon Burger. NICE! The burger and sweet potato fries delivered to my seat at the bar had a nice... visual appeal. The pickles were served on the side which is a nice touch (not everybody appreciates pickles) and what Green Millprovided would give me pickle in every bite. After placing those pickles on my burger and taking a few pics, I took the firstbite. NICE! I immediately picked up the char broiled flavor which I welcomed. The beef was seasoned well and juicy. Thebacon however was a bit disappointing, it was a tad chewy and applied using the "X" method. That four cheese blend was stellarand all of it nicely melted. The veggies provided a nice fresh balance, the bun had a nice buttery toast but what broughteverything together in a marriage of great flavors was that roasted garlic mayo. It's ok I think they are understaffed as the chef came out and took my order before we could find a server.
I was extremely impressed with the waitresses. There was typically only one on the morning shift and one on the evening shift.... Both ladies did very well at attending to each customer who walked in. They would even memorize the orders perfectly. The menuitems were somewhat hit or miss, but I usually left satisfied. Their garlic cheese bread and lobster mac 'n cheese are myfavorite dishes! They have some good sweet potato fries too. Would def go back to the Green Mill at some point. Read more
We went there to eat dinner Thursday evening. The bartender and waitress were fighting over ?who had to take our drink order?.... Neither felt it was her job. It was my daughter, me and 3 of my grandkids. The kids were not causing any trouble. My daughterwanted to take me to a nice place for my birthday. We got up and as we were leaving my daughter told both employees ( who werestill arguing over who had to take our drink order) ?I will settle your argument as we are leaving. We were so upset we justwent to Brahms. Brahms staff was very kind and Green Mill staff lost out on a hefty tip! Read more
Green Mill. First visit in over 10 years. We ordered the pizza rolls as an appetizer. They were more like fried wontons than the... pizza rolls that may come to mind. For meal i Tried the deep dish Chicago style pizza. It came out and was not cooked all theway in the middle. The cheese was not melted at all in the middle. The server promptly took back to oven for about five moreminutes. Pizza returned with cheese mostly melted. It was not hot in the center at all just luke warm the pizza requires a 30-35minute wait which I was fine with ..I just think they need a better way to ensure the pizza cooks thoroughly inside and outwithout burning the crust. The bruschetta appetizer was wonderful. The deep dish pizza was nasty. Took way to long to make. The crust was thin and over... cooked, above the pizza part. The pizza tasted like can tomato sauce. If you go, I would recommend skipping the pizza. 12-30-18Returned to retry Green Mill. For an appetizers we had the bruschetta again. Still amazing. Tried the friend cheese curds. Goodand plenty to share. Lobster Mac and cheese bland, should be tasted. Also could use more lobster. Seafood linguine was very goodand the scallops were not over cooked. The double burger was good. The Italian sandwich was also good. I would prefer moreseasoning. Service was attentive. Teased my son(6'4') about not finishing the burger. Overall, come and try.
