First time in Wichita and decided to try Kansas BBQ. This place was close to my hotel so I thought to give it a try. Ribs were... dry rubbed. Not sweet and not spicy but they were good. I prefer my ribs with just dry rub so I appreciated that. They were theright tenderness, not falling off the bone like most people think they should be. The brisket was tender and flavorful. Not aheavy pepper taste like you get with TX BBQ. I prefer mine with more pepper but his was still pretty good The smoked Mac andcheese was just Meh to me. The baked beans were different from what I?m used to. The sauce is thin and running, not thick andsavory. They used a few different types of beans as well. Overall I thought the beans were good. Their teas were different too.I?ve never had sweet tea that was made from black tea before. It wasn?t bad though. Overall the food and service was good. Flavorful BBQ in a historical building. We thought we had tried all the local BBQ places in town but somehow we've missed one. ... I think we saved the best for last. Our family visited on a Monday at lunch. When you walk in you go straight back to theordering counter and order your food based on the menu to the side. They have several sandwiches, 1,2, and 3 meat plates withsides and the option to buy meat by the pound. The kids meals were right around $5 and included a drink which I thought wasvery well priced. After ordering you seat yourself and wait for them to call your name. We ordered the pulled pork, ribs andbrisket. All were extremely flavorful and well cooked. We didn't try anything we didn't like. We also had fun learning about thehistory of the building and seeing the beautiful indoor murals. We will definitely be back. Read more
The reason for 3 stars is because of my rib dinner I received. If my ribs would've been as hot and easy to pull of the bone as... the other 3 rib meals we ordered it would've been 4-5 stars. But mine came out cold and it was too chewy, as if undercooked. Thesides were fine. And my family's ribs were really good. BBQ sauce is really good, food comes out fast, and the service is superfriendly. Read more

The food was good. It's a casual dining, similar to many other order-at-the counter, pick-up-when-your-name-is-called places. My... twisted turkey sandwich was messy and delicious!
