Reviews for Turnbull's Tavern in Whittier, CA
I stopped in last sunday afternoon to explore a new sports bar to enjoy Sunday football and honestly, I won't be returning.... First of all the bartender was mostly rude and basically, in my opinion, negative, unsocial and lazy. There was only a couplecustomers in the whole place and she moped around not really doing anything for about 15-20 minutes before finally serving me.Her attitude as she served me gave me the feeling I was not welcome. Then the price of a drink shocked me. I paid for 1 drinkwith a $20 and got $9 in one dollar bills back. After a $2 tip I paid $13 all together for a simple, regular drink. Too much forme to afford, and not even a large glass! Then the customer next to me asked if she would change the big TV in the middle of theroom to the football game, since all 3 were on a baseball game, and the bartender kinda ignored for a while, then didn't wantto, but finally did put the game on about the time I finished my tiny, expensive drink... and I left. But the place has a niceinterior and layout for a sports bar... too bad, I'll never go back. Read more

First timer here at Turnbull's Tavern, in Uptown Whittier. I have to say nice, pleasant atmosphere, super chill place. We sat at... the bar area and have to say, it did have some crumbs from, I guess the previous customers. Bar tender was quick to clean thatup when we asked if she would wipe that. Super nice lady, no issues. Food was delicious, sorry I can't remember the names butI'll post pictures. ???????? from me????. I met the owner Ernie, totally down to earth kinda guy, very nice!! Drove from Rancho Cucamonga see the band Steady 45's. Got there a little early 6:30PM. We ordered two Trunbulls Burgers one with... Mac and cheese one with fresh cut fries. God Lord Almighty these were some of the best burgers that we have ever had. Perfectlycooked and the Mac and Cheese was delicious. The beers were ice cold and our waiter was on point. He checked on us everytime hepassed our table. Met one of the owners named Ernie and he was very kind and welcoming and took the time out to make sure thateverything was alright. The band Steady 45's rocked the house till midnight. Food, Beers and Service was fantastic and we totallyrecommend this fine establishment to everyone. We happily give Turnbull's a Giant five star rating.???????????????? ???????????????????? Read more
