Reviews for New Canton Restaurant & Bar in Whittier, CA
My first time being here. We had a party of 5 people. We got seated had menus ordered drinks. After we all placed our food order... in at the same time. But when our food came out. Only 2 people had food there others waited for there food. It took 20 minutesin between. The last person had ordered salmon with noodles and rice. But it took over 45 minutes from the first two plates thatcame out. We didnt get any reply from the waiter or manager on why the food was taking so long. We had to keep asking but onlygot in a little while. Read more
I love this place. Their bbq pork buns, chicken piccata, ultimate margaritas and filet mignon dish are delicious. It's a unique... restaurant by serving Chinese and Italian dishes but it's worth exploring. The staff is friendly, food and cocktails aredelicious. The only thing is that they close so early. Highly recommend them. Read more
One of my favorite restaurants to eat at. First visit since the pandemic & the place has been remolded. They currently have an... outside dinning area & with the pleasant weather we have here in So Cal ideal for dinner. The menu includes new items to matchthe Bistro added to the name. The bar area has been remodeled as well. Once the restrictions are lifted perfect for sports. Fullbar service even though that area is currently closed, but soon very soon. Read more

Ive lived in Whittier 56 years this use to be a real restaurant. Now, it on the same line as the cheep quick spoon out Chinese... fast food. No were close to even panda express. I had sweet and sour pork. It tasted no better than a frozen Chinese dinner fromthe market. Egg flower soup had no egg, shrimp and eeg roll were dripping in oil waste of 19 dollors. This is the first time ihave ever complained about food or anything. Don't waste your money Read more
Delicious food , not salty, didnt feel bloated. Veggies were crunchy, house fried rice rich in flavor, the kung pao chicken... quite palatable. Table service was pleasant and helpful. Read more
The fried rice was meh, the chicken was plentiful but fatty, the beef was fatty, the lo mein were disappointing, the egg roll... was fine. We were the only people in the diner section during their ?busiest? part of the day and it makes sense now. We lefthalf the food on our plate, no takeout containers necessary. They gave a lot of food but could probably cut it in half if theyhad better quality ingredients. The bar looked happening and the entire place was actually quite nice but we just couldn?t getpast the food. Sadly, we are unlikely to be back. Read more
