I just went there for the first time and this spot is 100% EPIC! Great food AND great people! Beans are worth it alone. BBQ is... fresh, smoked to perfection and delicious. I had brisket, sausage, beans and corn. Nice outdoor seating under shade trees aswell. I was even given a sampler of some green salsa and their jalapeño stuffing? It was soooo good! I?m extremely confused by these comments. Literally one of the worst ?brisket sandwiches? I?ve ever had. Didn?t even taste like... brisket. Cheap tasting, sauce was mediocre at best.. I recommend just going to Bucees. I?m sure they have something good ontheir menu but it sure as hell isn?t the brisket. Drove from Waco to try this place out! Our first visit to Lake Whitney was to try Bar-B-Que Chef's Smokehouse for dinner... tonight. Some of the best BBQ I've had. It's definitely worth the little road trip. They had a sandpit with tractor toys forkids, a little playset, and some corn hole. We will definitely be going back. The owner was amazing and gave us some brisket toeat and try while we waited for him to prepare our plates. Definitely will be going back. Read more
We were visiting a friend and was introduced to this place. This was the best bbq I have had in a very long time. Old fashioned... Texas bbq and served with bread too. Several places around here don't serve bread. The sides were very good, as well. Friendly,courteous, and didn't rush me while I was making up my mind. Just the way a business should conduct itself. My daughter loved itand said it was the best she ever tasted. Wish they had a place here. Can't wait to go back. Read more
