Reviews for The Mad Musher in Whitney, ON

Food quality is pretty great for such a rural location, but their kitchen is frustratingly slow. Even when not busy, expect to... wait 45min to 1.5 hours for your food. They could do so much better with faster service and therefore more turnover. Itshouldn't take that long to cook a pasta dish or a burger. Menu prices are fair, and again the food quality was a pleasantsurprise for such a location. Luckily there's not much to do in town after 6pm so waiting isn't too bad - but be careful ifyou've hiked all day and are starving! Read more

Hailing out of Whitney ON, "The Mad Musher" is a quaint restaurant serving up some good old fashioned Canadian cuisine. The... food is competently prepared and does okay on the flavour spectrum but portion sizes could use a little boost. Nothing on themenu particularly stands out, so there isn't anything I would recommend. To be honest, the Mad Musher is just okay as arestaurant and because there isn't much happening in the food scene in Whitney it has a very low bar to achieve but it's anessential foundation to help prop up new restaurants in the future and that's just as important. We had fantastic, friendly service! We will be back to enjoy the food, but this time we focused on beverages as we are staying... near by. The Bancroft Blueberry Wheat beer was amazing. Ange was very friendly and we hope to see her next time!! Read more

The food was great and they had nice vegan options which was exactly what we wanted. The vegan curry and the salad with... housemade mango dressing were really good! The only downside is that we had to wait well over an hour to get our food. We weretold that there was a large takeout order, but restaurant guests should have taken priority. Read more

Excellent spot!! Great service, fast and friendly even when it was packed. We had the mussels and roasted red pepper spinach dip... to start and they were delicious!! My wife had the chicken skewers which she thoroughly enjoyed, I had the portobello ravioliwhich was absolutely the best pasta dish I've had in a very long time! We both enjoyed the local selection of alcoholicbeverages aswell. Thanks Steve and staff!! Next time we will save room for dessert. Read more

My family went to this restaurant in march and we absolutely loved their food. Their menu has a lot of interesting dishes. I ate... something from the kids section because I often know that many restaurants give a lot of food on the adults section and I oftencan?t finish it so I decided to choose something from the ?kids section?. This place is very good if you?re very hungry and wantto eat something near Algonquin park. Read more

I don't know what dishes they had before on there menu, but the renewed one is awesome. Every single dish has his own signature.... You could taste the freshness of the ingredients and a full experience of homemade. Read more
