What a treasure on a street full of your standard fast food restaurants! Easy to get to off of Hwy 74, Smithfield?s is the... perfect place to stop on the mostly rural highway. The restaurant was spotless, and the counter service person, Sherry, waspleasant and offered suggestions. The manager, Mr. Savage, was friendly and attentive. He brought it meal to us quickly, and thefood was delicious! We each had a sandwich with a soft bun and tasty Eastern BBQ. The fries were fresh and we topped our mealoff with banana pudding. I don?t typically write reviews but I must say this place was incredible! We were passing through on Thursday, heading to SC... from NY and are a very large family of 7, right down to having a cranky toddler and the moment we stepped into this place wasjust like going to your favorite aunt Betty?s house! The staff was so friendly! It was super clean! Like you could legit eat offthe floor - I personally wouldn?t?but you could lol and our favorite part was a gentleman (Savage - which my boys thought wasthe coolest name ever haha!!) came over and chatted with us and had us laughing away like we been friends for years! Again, Idon?t typically write reviews - I have 5 kids that never let me get a moment of peace! But I just HAD to write this one! Restaurant was extremely clean, air conditioning cold, staff friendly and attentive. The food- as always was served quickly,... it was hot and delicious. I had the shrimp dinner, my husband Chad fried chicken and BBQ. Portions were large, we shared witheach other and still had leftovers. Great tea and that crushed ice! ????
