Heard about this place from Mountain Moss Inn owner and we went last minute without reservations. We came in at 5:45 and it... wasn?t too busy yet and the host was very helpful. We we?re seated inside and our server Katie recommended the trout and IndianPlatter?both excellent! We started with the spinach salad and it was fresh and delicious. We went here in the winter and had an excellent meal, so we decided we would take my husband's parents here for their 60th. The... food was mediocre. I had the special, pork chop with a huckleberry sauce which seemed to be mixed with tomatoes maybe??? Itreally wasn't very good. The meat was moist thankfully. The cauliflower "risotto" was a mush, again without much flavor. Myhusband had the goody bowl, which had very little sauce and was kind of tasteless also. His mom's chicken sandwich and sweetpotato fries were over cooked= dry meat and burnt fries. His dad had the walleye sandwich, he reported it as being good. Maybe abad night? Maybe a different chef? Was fortunate to get a last minute reservation at 8 pm on July 28th for dinner. We started with the Tot appetizer (the half... order is big and could be a meal all on its own), I ordered the Yak burrito (loved it!) and my wife ordered the Spinach saladwith chicken (very large and she loved it too). Staff were great and made note of my nut allergy so no crosscontamination. They so have a nice draft craft beer selection. Would recommend grabbing a reservation for a great culinaryexperience! First time here and absolutely loved it. Our server and the kitchen staff were incredible in helping my find something to eat... with my extremely annoying allergy to garlic. I hate eating out because of it and they made me actually enjoy it! And the food,especially the tots and the Trout was delicious!!! Thank you so much! Read more
The atmosphere is really fun. The wait for food is a little long, so don?t expect a quick dinner, but it?s worth it. The food is... seasoned well and the portions are good. The huckleberry-lemon curd is fantastic with the beignets. Read more
Best meal I have had in a while. The trout was outstanding, as was the crème brûlée. Our server was on point and everyone... else working there was friendly and kind to us. You will need a reservation because the place is small, but they don?t crowd inthe tables. It is a really delightful dining experience. Read more
