I had the pleasure of spending a weekend at the Greenbrier recently and I absolutely understand why I have heard about the... resort my entire life. The resort itself is beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice, but the staff is what really makesthis place shine. From check-in to check-out, every staff member I encountered was courteous, attentive, helpful, andaccommodating. I would swear they are magical - whenever we returned to our room it was already tidied up to perfection with afresh bucket of ice waiting for us. They truly go above and beyond to ensure every guest has the best experience, and this isalso true of the staff in the steakhouse and in the main dining room (Oh, the food! Each bite of every single meal wassucculent, rich, and perfect). My grandfather loved going to the resort every year on his way to the Preakness, and it is easyto see why. Do not miss any opportunity to stay at the Greenbrier resort - I can assure you that I will not, and I will beactively seeking opportunities to stay there again in the future. Read more
We recommend a day trip just to see it. Lots of retail inside and the grounds are magnificent. We didn?t stay in a room because... they just aren?t our cup of tea. Way too much going on with the decor. Flower patterns on flower patterns with stripes inyellows, greens and reds. I prefer more subdued accommodations. Extraordinary place to visit and walk around for the afternoonthough, be sure to dress appropriately so your not stared at or given a twice over up and down! This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for a verylong time. If you choose this place you for sure won't regret it. An elegant and inviting hotel with a warm & friendly homefeel! Everything was superb! All the staff were helpful, knowledgeable and very welcoming! We did not stay at the resort but we did visit for the Bunker tour. Kate was a fantastic tour guide who answered all of our... questions with confidence and made everyone feel listened too. The history of this resort is fascinating. Highly reccomend thatyou at least visit and let the sights of Dorothy Drapers decor style fill your senses. Read more

Wow! Our visit to your resort was wonderful. Staff, facility and food =10 stars. The history and great condition of the property... is a testament itself to true craftsmanship of those who built it. This is a magical place that takes you back to a time of elegant surroundings and exceptional service. There were many couples... both young and old plus several girl weekend trip groups that were enjoying the activities and the restsurants. Don't think itis too fancy for you other than a few spots it was business casual attire. Great shops for on premise. Read more
