We had a wonderful experience at Belzonis! We live right up the street and keep saying we?re going to try it and finally did!... For starters, the people running the place were the best. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them. Thefood was beyond what we were expecting. Catfish was great! Okra was great! Mac and cheese was great! Lemonade was great! So this was my first time coming to this establishment. First impressions is key with me. The grease def. Need to be changed... at this facility. My fish was draining dark grease and my Okra was so dark you can tell it was old grease and taste. My wholefish, loved the crispy outing but the old grease taste was over powering. On the filet fish plate. It looks good haven't triedit yet but the fries was soggy and I requested extra crispy. I also ordered 2 sweet potatoes pies. Haven't taste them yet butthey could've been ran through the oven a little longer. I can finish them though. The fried stuff was just demolished from theold grease. The Mac and cheese have some type of over powering herb that do not need to be added. It would've been goodwithout it. Hushpuppies went to the trash they were over cooked.
