I can not speak to the quality of service when sitting down to eat, as I have only done takeout. That being said, I've done... takeout from their buffet many times and the food is always good and fresh. The service at the front is always polite and it'salways a pleasure. Best buffet I have been to in years! So good infact, that two nights later I went back again and it was 100% consistent! Servers... were only there to seat me and then when my cup or plate were empty. They did not rush me at all and were pleasant the wholetime. All of the food was fresh and tasted as it was supposed to, unlike typical buffets. There was a constant stream ofemployees refilling the buffet trays with fresh food my entire visit. I'm not sure where these bad reviews are coming frombecause the only way to have a bad visit here is to screw it up yourself. Also, if your waitress has to scoff at your tip, thenyou've probably found yourself in this situation many times before and you should really re-evaluate your financial situationbecause you probably shouldn't be going out to eat. They created take-out if you don't want to tip for the use of the restaurantand the service. Hell, even fast food restaurants in a lot of states charge an extra fee for dine in....... An excellent place to get Chinese food in a buffet setting. All of the foods I tried were very good, even by non buffet... standards. Let's be honest, buffets are generally about quantity not quality. China Moon will surprise you. All the food wasfresh and food that should be crisp was crisp, not soggy from being out too long. The trays of food were full and not lacking.The only food I was disappointed in was the fried rice. It was better than the rice at other buffets, but not as good as a sitdown and order restaurant. It was a little mushy. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms and all the employees werewearing masks. Gloves are available for those who feel more comfortable wearing them. If COVID turned you off buffets, I get it,but if you want to eat at one again, try China Moon. It is the best and cleanest Chinese buffet I've found. Read more
My son and I really enjoy this restaurant. There's a ton of variety and great prices. We love the takeout as well. It's a family... owned, quaint, little restaurant. Everyone I have spoken with there is kind and helpful. The food is consistently great. I foundthe restaurant clean and comfortable. If you order takeout, plan on having a complete other meal left. The portions are greatand they heat up well. I really liked the freshness of the the food. I don't normally like buffets for this reason. But, Ihaven't had any issue with "old" tasting food. So, go. We came in tonight for a late dinner, for the amount of space at the buffet there was quite a bit of varieties of food. Some of... which includes fried rice, different soups, some seafood and many varieties of chicken and desserts. Compared to other Asiancuisine this food to us didn't grab our attention in the flavor department. Almost everything was bland so we would have givenit 3 stars but.... China Moon Buffet is a hidden gem in the upper valley. It wasn't until a few years ago that my family tried it and realized how... amazing it was. We went from thinking there was no good Asian food around to realizing that there was some of the best Asianfood we've had just down the interstate. The lunch special for take out is great. Very affordable. We got dinner for 4 peopleand had enough leftovers for 3 people for another meal and paid $45.
