Ava?s is absolutely magical. This family run business is run by Ava and her parents? well Mostly her parents, Scott and Jamie,... but Ava also helps out around the store. They have scooped ice cream from Giffords and custom rolled ice cream. They have dairyalternatives for both. The rolled ice cream can contain fresh fruit, cookies, or Jamie?s homemade apple crisp that she makesseveral times a week. If ice cream isn?t your jam, try an Italian ice or a shaved ice, the shaved ice being their newestaddition! The candy within the store boasts a variety of classic and newer treats. Chocolate, gummies, gum, hard candies, sourcandies, jaw breakers, and fun novelty candies. If you?re in need of a birthday gift, Ava?s has you covered with a variety oftoys as well! Check out the selection of Pez dispensers too? they have tons to choose from! Ava?s has custom made solidchocolate treats in a variety of shapes and sizes. Or indulge in their French macarons- they are divine. Perfectly chewy andbalanced with a perfect amount of filling every time. Ava?s is open Tuesday-Sunday, Monday being their only day closed. They areopen until 7pm. Stop in and grab a treat? there is something for everyone! Read more

From complex beautiful rolled ice cream, to low cost hard serve, and all the candies you could think of, this place is... outstanding. My mother and I stopped by here after 4U golf ice cream was full and dairy twirl was closed. I had previouslyavoided this place since I had heard bad word about the quality from the locals and to be honest, I expected that poor qualitywhen I saw the over-the-top presentation in the shop. From my experience many shops use large complex presentations tocompensate poor quality, so I was not expecting much that day. To my surprise my mom and I were amazed by the quality of thehard serve ice cream we had ordered. We will both be marking this as our new go to ice cream shop. Read more

Great spot! Their ice cream is great and their hours make it so convenient to get ice cream year round. Plus look how cute it is... inside! Read more

A very cute sweets shop with a nice selection of candy, rolled ice cream, and traditional scooped ice cream. The brand of ice... cream is, I believe, still Giffords, which is a tasty brand in the New England area. The staff was also very friendly! Read more

Awesome little candy shop. Great selection of candy, and they're even bagged in little reusable plastic bags for an easy grab... and buy. (And I'll be reusing the little bags after too for lunches/snacks) Nice chill shop and very clean, I know where I'mgoing when I run out of candy! Update: Just visited this location for the second time, with many more visits to go. Everythingis so clean and organized, got everything I wanted, and then some, in under 5 minutes. Definitely my fave candy store. Read more

Incredible. We came for the rolled ice cream and it was well worth the $7.99 each. We got the 'smores and the maple something... or other. Both were fantastic (though I preferred the 'smores). It was great to watch it being made. Even better to eat it. Theportion size was just fine (and should be for all the effort and the price). The store has plenty of options for unique candy. The decor is great and I love the downtown location, right across from the center for the arts. The staff was so friendly andhelpful. We will love coming back here. Read more

I accidentally stumbled across this shop online as I was looking something up. Just a hop across the river, I was surprised we... didn't know it existed as we love ice cream shops. And what was rolled ice cream? I was very curious. I had never heard ofit before so we definitely had to visit this shop. We went and I had the strawberry summer and my daughter had the mermaidtail. It was neat to be able to watch the rolled ice cream process (or parts of it anyway with little kids in tow). My husbanddidn't think he would like rolled ice cream so he opted for traditional hard ice cream (yummy Gifford's Ice Cream!). Althoughhe liked his traditional ice cream, he regretted not getting rolled ice cream as it did not disappoint. He agreed it was verygood. In addition to rolled ice cream, we tried three different Macarons. We had chocolate, lemon and cookies and cream. Myfavorite was the lemon and my daughter's was the chocolate. They are pricey but tasty. I do wish there were more seatingoptions outside to sit and enjoy ice cream. We had an overall delicious experience and we'll be back!!! Read more
